The town or more precisely village of Ucluelet is situated on a peninsula. The beauty of this is you have the often turbulent and stormy open Pacific Ocean to the west and the relative calm of Ucluelet harbour to the east. You're minutes [15ish] to massive beaches like Wickaninnish Beach and right on your doorstep is the Wild Pacific Trail. The town itself is full of great people and businesses, which are for the most part locally owned. They are owned by super passionate and creative souls! Air Canada's EnRoute magazine just named one of the locally owned and operated restaurants one of Canada's top 10 new restaurants in 2019! Ucluelet is full of little gems like this.
