💰Be a SMART CONSUMER

Royal Caribbean does this often! They have these "flash OBC sales". But you really aren't getting a better deal.

Here is an example: I booked Star of the Seas yesterday for a guest. Today, this exact same sailing was $252 more with an added $250 OBC. So while the OBC looks appealing, they are just raising the cruise rate to counter the OBC offer ☹️

❓A or B? On vacation, what does your bed look like? 😃

When Jason and I were in San Juan we stayed in an Airbnb that had twin beds. Jason's bed- A and mine is B 🤪. Mine would have probably been more messy but we were getting ready to check out.
VERY DIFFERENT yet we still make it work 💓

Pro Tip! Documentation is Key for Travel Insurance Claims

• Trip Delay/Interruption: Save receipts for out-of-pocket expenses (meals, hotels, transportation). Without receipts, you won't be reimbursed. Also, obtain proof of the delay from the airline while still at the airport to avoid needing to follow-up later.

• Medical Emergencies: If you have a medical emergency during the trip, you must seek medical treatment and obtain treatment notes from your physician outlining the diagnosis and treatment, as well as any payment invoices. For pre-trip cancellations due to medical reasons, your insurance will probably require a visit to your physician as well as a medical form to be filled out by the physician.

• Lost or Delayed Baggage: For baggage claims, you need an incident report from the airline and proof of when the baggage was returned. Receipts for clothing and toiletries purchased during the delay are required, and if the baggage is lost, you need receipts for lost items or examples of comparable items.

• General Documentation: Most claims also require the original trip invoice, cancellation invoice (for cancellations), and proof of payment (credit card/bank statements, check copies, or cash receipts).

For those that guessed what cruise line and ship we were on...it was Regent Seven Seas, Splendor.

Let's talk about this cruise line for a bit.

This cruise line is truly ALL-INCLUSIVE LUXURY cruising.

What we loved:
1. Smaller ship (only around 700 passengers)
2. MASSIVE balcony stateroom (nicest we have ever been in)
3. Small excursion groups and some of the most FUN excursions we have ever experienced
4. Crew was amazing and always smiling- they truly seemed happy
5. The food was soooo good! And there was so much more variety on the buffets!
6. You actually got to hang out and socialize with the entertainment staff. They would truly make time to get to know you.

What we didn't like:
1. Slow internet (although all ships have now been upgraded with starlink so we hope that fixed the problem)
2. Signing up for excursions on their website was slow.
3. Guest services/excursion help was slow on day 1 when people needed the most help.

I understand this cruise line isn't for everyone. However, if you enjoy luxury and you normally get all the "extras" on your cruise, you need to consider Regent!

What cruise line/ship do you think this is?

This cabin is by far the nicest "standard" balcony cabin we have stayed in. This cabin was over 250 sq ft with a 55 sq ft balcony and had a walk in closet!

What cruise line and ship were we on? 🛳️

With Royal Caribbean both people in the cabin do NOT have to purchase the Deluxe Drink Package. They have made an exception to allow for 1 person to purchase the deluxe drink package and the second guest to purchase the refreshment package. Simply call in to Royal Caribbean to make the purchase or ask your travel agent to do it for you :)
