THE BEST FREE CAMPING SPOT IN GIPPSLAND
This is an all-time favourite camping spot in Gippsland. We would have to give it the number one spot (big call). McGaurans Beach free camping is situated on the 90-mile beach. With the campsite only 10 metres from the beach, this spot is amazing. Now not only is this camp spot amazing but some mornings you will find Anderson kids selling their free farm eggs to the campers. This has to go on your bucket list. While you visit the area you must go over to Port Albert Wharf Fish & Chips because the fish and chips is one the best we have tried.
You must be fully self-sufficient as this camp spot has no bins or toilets.

TONIGHTS THE NIGHT
The Super-load is on the move from Loy Yang, Traralgon to the Port of Melbourne.
From Saturday 1 April to Tuesday 4 April, a 615 tonne superload will be travelling from Loy Yang in Gippsland to the Port of Melbourne.
The transport vehicle is 615 tonnes and 125 metres long which means it must travel very slowly, at a top speed of only 25km/h. At six metres wide it takes up the entire width of the road, so can’t be overtaken.
The load will be travelling in stages, across three nights to reduce the impact on the road network and alleviate congestion for drivers.
Night 1: 1 & 2 April, 6pm – 5am, Loy Yang A to Berwick
Night 2: 2 & 3 April, 11pm – 5am, Berwick to Heatherton
