Today was the cheese and strawberry farm. sound boring... No way! The kids got to try their hand at milking a cow. Santino said he was a natural. Lol Then they got to see how cheese was made from fresh milk all the way to end product. The best part was sampling all the different kinds of cheese. Then a tractor ride to the strawberry patch. The strawberry jam they make there is out of this world! Nobody has ever tasted a strawberry like this! All the kids thought it was great! Unfortunately Ms Mo did not get to join them and had to stay back at the hotel. But kind-hearted students that I have, thought of me and brought home a sample of the cheeses and then we had a cheese party out by the pool when they got back. The second part of their day was spent at La Paz Waterfall gardens. They got to see Jaguars, mountain lions, snakes, and go into the butterfly aviary. Butterflies landed on them. Judy told me that Tony was in another world calm and serene with butterflies all around him. They also got to enjoy all the birds. Jordi and Brenna took a picture with a toucan on their arm! Unfortunately, since I had to stay back, I do not have pictures to share. But we will have many to show you when we get back. Tomorrow we are headed back to the coast to have our crocodile cruise, and hike through the Manuel Antonio preserve. There we will see monkeys, iguanas, birds, and lots of monkeys, probably a sloth or two all in their natural habitat. No cages or enclosures here. We will then spend the rest of the day on a beach surrounded by jungle. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow night.
