WEST NOVA – A federal election has been called for Oct. 19. Stephen Harper met with Governor General David Johnston on Sunday morning and asked that Parliament be formally dissolved.Local candidates will be hitting the campaign trail, including those running for the seat in the riding of West Nova.

Congratulations!

Defence Minister Jason Kenney has appointed key-note speaker, singer-songwriter and entertainer Terry Kelly to a three-year position as honorary colonel of 14 Wing Greenwood, Nova Scotia. He replaces Honorary Colonel Barb Stegemann who has held the honourable position since December 2011.
