Let's delve into the topic of burnout. Over my 12-year journey capturing weddings, I've witnessed countless fellow photographers and videographers succumb to burnout and exit the industry. Often, I'm asked about the secret to avoiding this fate. The truth? Even after all this time, I still feel an electrifying excitement on wedding mornings. Here are my strategies for staying refreshed in this field:
1. Remember every wedding you shoot may seem like just another day of work, but each one, you have been selected to shoot that couples BEST day of their lives. Each time you roll up to a wedding venue, you get to work with a couple and spend time with them while they celebrate the BEST day of their life-how absolutely honoring is that?!
2. Your work will outlive you: I would pay lots of money to see my ancestors wedding films and photos. You’ll be long gone and some of your work will still be cherished and passed down. Talk about a legacy!
3. Not getting greedy: the number of weddings you can comfortably take is different for everyone, but a couple years ago I started capping myself at a number that felt best to me, and it’s allowed me to make sure every wedding gets the time and care it needs. I don’t have to “churn out” weddings, and that allows my creativity to thrive.

Remember, this journey is about more than capturing moments, it’s about preserving memories and honoring love.

Complete with huge gear upgrades, revamped client experience, and an even stronger focus on the story and heart that makes each wedding film special.
