This is a photograph of Biscayne Boulevard looking north taken from the top of the Miami Daily News Tower on August 1, 1930. In the lower left corner of the picture one can see the Harvey Seeds American Legion building with the Legion Arena in the back. It was at this venue where Al Capone was arrested twice, once on May 13, 1930, and again May 19th. Both times he was attending a fight at the Legion Arena, which was the premiere venue for boxing matches in Miami during this time. Photo was taken by Richard B. Hoit.
