I am a Sandals Wedding and Honeymoon Specialist and can help you plan your free wedding at any Sandals or Beaches resort! I can also help you plan a vow renewal at any of their properties too! I've been to dozens of resorts over many brands throughout Mexico over the last 10 months and can help you with planning the right vacation that fits you! ✈️ It’s time for some real talk. Everyone is healthy and you’re not going to change your travel plans. Do you really need travel insurance?

Picture this: it’s 3 weeks before your Christmas vacation to the Caribbean and your healthy spouse goes in for a routine test, only to come out with a potentially scary diagnosis and a surgery scheduled the week before your vacation. There were no warning signs, no symptoms, no concerns.

You obviously cannot travel and have to cancel your vacation; you’re already inside the window where you’ve completely paid for your trip and it’s 100% non refundable. Thankfully you had travel insurance that covers exactly this scenario so you can file a claim to get a refund. Imagine if you didn’t have insurance and had to eat several thousands of hard-earned money!

Please, if you ever take one piece of travel advice from me, this is it. Buy the insurance. It’s a small amount to pay to protect your investment. It covers the unexpected- flight delays, lost luggage, medical expenses if you get sick or fall on vacation, if you lose your job, if there’s a medical emergency or even death that impacts your trip. I’ve seen so many cases in the last 8 years that thankfully I have coverage for my own family. I’m not trying to sell you something when I mention insurance, I’m just trying to protect you.

Say yes to the trip. Say yes to the memories! I’m as guilty as so many other parents by saying “maybe” or “sometime” to my daughter when she asks to do something fun or travel somewhere different. This was a quick trip but the memories will last a lifetime! We had so much fun that we vowed to do this at least once a year going forward. The food trucks, the musicals, the shopping- everything was perfect!

Today we took a walking food tour through Thessaloniki, Greece. 🇬🇷 We started with a local favorite- bougatsa - a phyllo dough filled with a soft cheese. Then we headed to a lovely restaurant for lunch. The mussels, anchovy bruschetta, and stuffed grape leaves were all amazing, but the star of the show was definitely the octopus. It was the best I’ve ever eaten! 🐙 The final stop was of course for dessert. I was the only person on our ship to try this Vietnamese snake wine. 🐍 Snakes are widely believed to possess medicinal qualities and the wine is often advertised to cure everything from farsightedness to hair loss, as well as to increase sexual performance. In Vietnam, snake wine is widely believed by some individuals to improve health and virility. Our family travels to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland as often as we can, and take Disney cruises whenever possible, so you can rest assured that you’re in knowledgeable and experienced hands!
