All clear through the village after that big tide. Thank you to the volunteer flood wardens out today, slowing traffic to protect your cars, our shops, businesses and houses from car bow waves overtopping flood gates.
To those of you who were rude to us, we hope you’re proud of your actions, bravo.

As Mevagissey Feast Week draws to a close with spectacular fireworks, locals remember our family and friends that are not here to see them.

Mevagissey Parish Council has become aware that the Polstreath Beach access agreement between Trevalsa Court Hotel and Cornwall Council has lapsed under its previous ownership (during 2020) and has not been renewed.

We are observing the discussion between the current owners of Trevalsa Court Hotel and Cormac/Cornwall Council, and will represent the views of the Parish.

St Michaels Mount, Cornwall…..
🏰 St Michael's Mount is a tidal island in Mount's Bay, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The island is a civil parish and is linked to the town of Marazion by a causeway of granite setts, passable between mid-tide and low water. It is managed by the National Trust, and the castle and chapel have been the home of the St Aubyn family since approximately 1650. Historically, St Michael's Mount was a Cornish counterpart of Mont-Saint-Michel in Normandy, France, with which it shares the same tidal island characteristics and a similar conical shape, though Mont-Saint-Michel is much taller. The earliest buildings on the summit, including a castle, date to the 12th century. This pic was actually took a few years back but recent visits it’s still just as beautiful
