WALT DISNEY WORLD UPDATE - September 29, at 3 P.M. ET:

"We continue to closely monitor weather conditions as we assess the impact of Hurricane Ian on our property. While theme parks and many operating areas remain closed to guests today, we anticipate weather conditions to improve this evening. Walt Disney World Resort will resume theme park and Disney Springs operations in a phased approach starting on Friday, Sept. 30."

"Operating hours will be updated later today."

🚨 WEATHER UPDATE ⛈

At this time, Walt Disney World will continue to operate as planned. However, there are a few changes of note:

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and the Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will temporarily close Wednesday, Sept. 28 through Friday, Sept. 30 due to the weather. Guests with current and upcoming reservations are being contacted for alternate options.

Disney‘s Typhoon Lagoon will close temporarily Wednesday, Sept. 28 and Thursday, Sept. 29. (Disney’s Blizzard Beach is currently closed).

Winter Summerland Miniature Golf and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will also temporarily close Wednesday, Sept. 28 and Thursday, Sept. 29.

Effective immediately, Disney will not enforce cancellation policies until further notice for dining and other experiences like Savi’s Workshop and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

Performances of Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical R***e have been canceled Sept. 28-30 in light of the temporary closure of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Guests with pre-paid reservations will be automatically canceled and refunded.

Disney is closely monitoring the weather and has plans and procedures for significant weather that are both time-proven and constantly updated. Safety of Guests and Cast Members is always foremost.

This information may change so please stay tuned for updates!

For a limited time, guests visiting the Magic Kingdom will get two chances to see the nighttime fireworks spectacular, Disney Enchantment, which was created for Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration. “From July 14 to July 24, fireworks will be presented at Magic Kingdom Park at 9:20 p.m. and 11 p.m. nightly. Due to this additional showtime, our neighbors and guests near Magic Kingdom Park will hear fireworks a bit later than usual,” Disney said in a post online.

November: 8, 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 22, 27, 29

It's all about characters around here, so today we're excited to share what's next for new and returning experiences!

🌺 Mirabel from the beloved film "Encanto" will join Miguel from "Coco", Nick and Judy from "Zootopia", Max Goof, Moana and more in a super-sized calvacade winding through Magic Kingdom park daily beginning June 26.

🎀 Minnie Mouse will join Mickey starting on July 6 in Town Square Theater at Magic Kingdom as well. Both will be ready for HUGS(!) and photos in their EARidescent fashions specially made for the 50th Anniversary Celebration.

🎞 Over at Hollywood Studios, Star Wars Launch Bay returns July 17!! Embrace Chewbacca, come face to face with BB-8, or if you're brave enough, Meet Darth Vader himself!

Exciting News! Guests will once again be able to travel around Walt Disney World in style with Minnie Vans Connected by Lyft beginning June 29! Here are all the details:

🚘 Reservations available on demand right from a smartphone.

🚘 Special locations only accessed by Minnie Vans aid in reaching select Walt Disney World locations more quickly.

🚘 Vehicles are operated by specially trained Disney Cast Member drivers, many of whom are returning experts from the service’s previous run.

🚘 Minni Vans provide private transportation with a personalized approach that makes traveling around Walt Disney World even more magical.

🚘 Seating is available for up to 6 Guests, including up to 2 car seats allowed and provided.
