Rather than try to capture this 27 Seconds of Awesomeness, I let the professional do it.

Ranked the second-most disappointing attraction in Europe, (behind the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen), people queue for an hour to get the best spot to record the short presentation. I found it quaint and lovely … only the crowd made me disappointed! 😢

Just a few pictures from today’s tour of Czech Resistance. It’s such a sad story. If you get a chance, look up “Operation Anthropoid.” I’d never heard of it, which is sad in itself. Again, Czech history is buried. But this is the church cellar where seven brave paratroopers hid until discovered by the SS and drowned out with firehoses. They killed themselves rather than be captured. There are plaques around the city commemorating resistance events. NO ONE would come to the aid of the Czechs … they were left to their own devices .

Some Prague observations:

Food and drink have been very cheap. A beer is about $3. Dinner last night with a beer was $12. You can certainly pay more but you don’t have to. And I find the food really good.

I think there is still quite a bit of tension between the Czechs and ethnic Russians. Czech Republic strongly supports Ukraine. When I asked about it, our guide was diplomatic, but rolled his eyes when asked how they get along. Not well. The young Russians are kinda obnoxious.
