The dormant Thrihnukagigur volcano (yeah, good luck trying to pronounce it!) in Iceland is a unique natural phenomenon, the only volcano in the world that is accessible to explore on the inside by descending down its top crater. Plans are to make the huge vault inside accessible through a ground tunnel, leading up to a viewing platform inside the volcano.
