ARC by TOA gave quite a head room against Fred back; there was a bit reflection / resonance under a tent, and Main Vocal needed a big head room.

Instead human doing "one-two" check and equalizing, ARC showed and applied necessary filter in about a minutes; cut down the time 1/5-1/10!!

When you use In-ear monitors for drummers, it would be really nice to have good stereo image in their mix; we are trying few methods, and so far XY stereo on Over head is the winner.

When the visual is import, just have the mic stand from the behind of the drummer, you are all good!

Dear bands who hire us; I appreciate all the business from you guys, and again thanks for supporting the local scene!!

Please do not decide and rule out all the details with clients and venues, unless if pre-approved (e.g., speaker placement, mix space, power, load in and set up time, system usage of other third party, sometimes price and payment).

Here are examples;
"Oh we talked to them and it's fine to place speaker there." (In front of an Exit? Serious?(turned out it was not available, and had to hang them, a day before).

"They have one circuit but they say no band has any problem." (But that's not enough to power what you've asked).

"Oh you'll need to run sound for the whole wedding, but they are not paying for it." (So are you guys also playing a "free-set" and cover that?)

"I have got $100 for the sound from the bar and it'll cover you and gear right?"
(NO!)

Singing into SM57 actually sounds good (I'm a big fan of it), while other people yell at me "that's a instrument mic!" (It is not limited, while US presidents uses 2 of them for speech with "VIP mount") .
However, it is highly recommended to use windscreen (Shure A2WS) to avoid troubles.
Two of 57s came in today for maintenance ; they both had bad form inside the girl, one of them had a diaphragm came off, over all in bad condition.

It is only $99 mic, but $16 wind screen can make it last 100 times longer when you sing into it, and you just need to wash it when it's needed, instead of opening up the mic.
