Found this place and it was awesome. It’s just about enough to make me a fan of Heathrow! Built in the 1600’s and oblivious to the airport that has grown up around it. It’s a shory walk from several airport hotels. Stop in, eat great food, drink beer and pet the cat 💕

THROUGH MARCH 27 Virgin will still be offering up $400 per cabin for your Bar Tab. However, they will be removing this special after March 27.

Is it REALLY this amazing? NO - IT IS EVEN BETTER! The Norwegian Fjords is one of the most stunning places on earth. Come see it next summer on a Cunard ship! Beginning in 2026, many of the Fjords will close to passenger ships - so take advantage of seeing the Fjords this coming year. Message me for details!

***"PACK YOUR PATIENCE"***
So that is the advice a lot of "travel blogs" give. But it does not help you get to the destination. As I write this Thursday 6/29 at 9:15AM 400 flights have already been cancelled today. SO...here are some helpful things to get you where you would like to go this summer!
***1) ALWAYS try for the non-stop flight, even if it means DRIVING to a major airport *** example: I drive an hour to Raleigh to take non stops to places like Tampa or Orlando or even Vegas, even if it means a little driving. I have had to help re-route a lot of friends lately who are flying into small airports.
***2) Be willing to SWITCH from your usual fave airline! Even if you do not like a particular airline or have rewards on another, at this moment in time - BOOK THE ONE which will get you to your destination NONSTOP***
***3) FLY EARLY!!!! Yes I have to get out of bed at 3:30AM sometimes to make it to the airport for the 6AM Raleigh flight. BUT choose the earliest flight, as your plane is likely at the airport from the night before...and hopefully your flight crew is also. The very LAST flight out of the day is also a decent choice since the airlines need to get the crew home (or to their overnight hotel), and the plane to its overnight spot
***4) CONTINGENCY...HAVE ONE!! Right now, I always have a one way car booked and ready to go to my destination. I fly out of RDU this Thursday at 6:30, but I also have a one way car booked at 6:30 ready to go if I have to drive to get to Orlando. I can dump that car in FL at the airport and pick up my week long rental there if I have to! Is it ideal? No. Will it get me to my pre-booked Polynesian Luau in Daytona on time? YES! **if you know your flight will take off, cancel your car before you board!**
***and finally 5) LOGISTICS. do a little research. If I were flying out tomorrow at noon, starting around 9AM or so I would be using sites like "Flight Aware" to track my flight. I will look at these questions: "has it landed yet at the airport prior to mine?" "is it running on time so far during the day and projected to take off from the airport before mine in time?" That will help you know how your flight could be affected.
Advising people to "pack their patience" is okay advice, but instead just take steps to make your vacation as easy as possible! And if you do not want to deal with any of this ...book with your friendly Travel Agent and I will do the planning for you - at NO extra cost to you!
