Para el conjunto funcionalista de San Ángel, Juan O’Gorman partió de la premisa de integrar la flora endémica a la arquitectura. En el integró en su paisaje terrazas con especies mexicanas, como los magueyes y una barda perimetral viva, resultado del interés de O’Gorman y Rivera por evocar el panorama mexicano.
Gracias al apoyo del Programa de Desarrollo de Arte y Cultura Citibanamex 2024, se realizan acciones para preservar esta icónica barda de órganos.
