🍀 Friday the 13th a lucky day for some and unlucky for others. Moohaha

🐟 We're at an anchorage called The Aquarium right outside of Bodrum. It's delightful!

⚓ We anchored here 2 days ago and took two stern lines ashore and tied them to rocks. (This was a 1st for me and I found it challenging)

💨 Today we encountered powerful wind and found ourselves being carried closer and closer to the rocks and the boat beside us. We had to use both engines to prevent a potential problem.

🙏 We managed to get ourselves out of a difficult predicament with the assistance of a nearby boat.

Overall it was a stressful day for me but I learned a lot. Turn obstacles into opportunities to grow.

So proud of my Captain for keeping his composure.

☀️ Sun•Daze ☀️ I can see why they call this place Paradise Cove! We're so happy to have spent several days at an anchorage surrounded by beautiful pine trees. We met an awfully nice German 🇩🇪couple and shared several hours with them exchanging stories. We hiked, got lost and walked alongside goats, completed boat chores and swam the afternoon away. Off to the next place... ✌️

After four wonderful days at anchor in Gundogan we've decided to set sail for Didum. We changed the oil in the transmission, cleaned the fresh and salt water filters and attempted to clean the bottom of the boat.

It was a rough day at Sea(for me) but the night more than made up for it.

The past 3 weeks have been remarkable for many reasons. Clive and I sailed from Sardinia to 🇮🇹 Italy into the Bay of Naples with Mount Vesuvius as our backdrop. I've always held a fascination for Pompeii, so this was very cool for me.

My parents and younger brother Jacob took the leap across the pond to visit us on Jelani for nearly 2 weeks. We took a golf cart tour of Rome, which was a perfect way to see The Eternal City with less than 24 hours to explore. We saw the Vatican, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Coliseum and other beautiful sights. We ate fantastic food at Grazia y Graziella and Ragno d'oro.

Once on Jelani, they got a taste as to what the day and the life onboard was like. We sailed to Nerano, hooked to a Mooring Ball and swam the afternoon away. We toured the Amalfi Coast, Positano and Ravello with an incredible guide, Vittorio.

Jacob decided to stay with Clive and I for a few more weeks. We planned a trip to Sicignano, a gorgeous mountain town where my great grandmother was born. We learned all about our family history and even met some cousins we never knew existed. Special Thank you to Lucio for spending 8 years of your life to ensure we all know where we came from and who our family is.

It was sad to leave Bay of Naples after establishing ourselves there for three weeks but we must move on. Our Schengen visas set to expire on August 1st. I must admit, I was nervous about setting sail to Sicily since we've spent so much time on land lately.

Even though I had butterflies, it felt great to cast the lines and get back to the reflective and peaceful life I have at sea. It's been four days since we left The Amalfi Coast and I can't believe how special the last few days have been. I'm thoroughly enjoying sharing this experience with my youngest brother, Jacob. We've encountered a pod of dolphins swimming alongside us, two volcanoes spewing lava near our anchorage and we even wrote a song.

The only way this could get any better is to share this experience with the people I love and care about. I hope the pictures make you feel apart of the journey.

Heading for Turkey next week!

You've taken me places I've never dreamt possible. Today we explored Tavolara and hiked to the far side of the island. Tomorrow we set sail for the next anchorage, provision the boat and prepare Jelani to sail to Italy 🇮🇹. Looking forward to having family come to visit in July!

Today marks a big day for Clive and I. Our crew Gene headed back to Florida and we are now on our own. 🤪 When faced with change, there always seems to be a little discomfort. We both have nerves about the next step, but we're ready! Today we sailed from Cagliari to an anchorage 5 hours down the coast and tomorrow we set off up the east coast of Sardinia. We took turns sailing Jelani and looking out for fishing buoys. It was a good day! Happy Sunday.

🌍World Oceans Day🌊
By 2050 there will more than likely be more plastic in our Oceans than fish. 🐠🐙 Together we can make a difference, be conscious of the amount of single-use plastic you use in a day. Each time Clive and I go to the store we load our bookbags and cloth bags full of groceries and don't use a single plastic bag. Challenge yourself to eliminate single-use plastic bags at the store and you will do a small part in this global problem.

I'm quickly falling in love with anchorages. In the evenings we have the whole place to ourselves. The sand dunes were a beautiful contrast to the turquoise water and green rolling hills.
