So what will you discover as you engage with this page? I can pretty much sum it up in a few words: You will find snippets of time I captured with my camera. I am far from a professional photographer, and I have no illusions of grandeur. I am always learning new things as I go along, and I know I still have a lot to learn, which is part of the appeal of photography for me. I regularly push myself
to expand my knowledge about this craft that started when I picked up my first camera at the age of 10. What I post on this page are simple images, most likely captured as I walk about my home town of Saint Paul, Minnesota, or while traveling or accompanying my spouse on long term assignments in a city that is not our own. I love wandering around on foot in the back alleys, the communal gardens, and the more neglected city streets of a given location and snapping photos of the things I discover. Over time, I have come to realize that the same things that move me to raise my camera and create a permanent image, move others too. It is always a privilege when someone responds to my work in a positive way, and I've been lucky enough to have that experience over the years. When I slow down and take a good look around, I discover a world that is full of wonderful, quirky, odd, creative, and beautiful things, which is why I consider it a privilege to be a "recorder of wonder." May you discover something that moves you in the photos I share.
