¦ The famous Cerro de la muerte... Why is it called that? ✍️.

🎙️It was called Cerro de la Muerte 💀 because for several decades the town of Pérez Zeledon as well as de los Santos did not have a road to get to San José to stock up on provisions.

😮 To do so they had to travel hundreds of kilometers on horseback, mule or on foot.

This journey lasted a few days so adobe houses 🧱 were built to take shelter from the cold 🥶.

Today some vestiges of those old houses 🏠 remain standing on the banks of the road that today crosses said hill.

We could say that this was one of the great Hiking 🥾 that were carried out for years.
