Our movement’s founder, Tonya Leigh is a Southern Belle, Francophile, a sommelier and sweet-tea sipper, as well a Master Certified Coach who is crazy about inspiring women to add more elegance into their everyday and more joie into their vivre.
She’s been called a joie de vivre instigator and an enchanting confidante for women around the world who seek to style their mind and create their lives from a place of joy, passion and love. She inspires us to French Kiss Life so that we can bloom in the life we have today, not one day when!
But it wasn’t always that way.
As a single mother, she worked hard to give her daughter the world, and somewhere along the way, she lost herself. She became an overworked and overweight critical care nurse. She knew that she wanted to change, but she was so tied to her childhood story where she lived in a double wide trailer and a grew up in a church that denounced makeup and anything fashionable, that it felt impossible for her to see a new future.
So, like a lot of women, she turned to the world of self-help, where she discovered different flavor of the same struggle — everything she saw told her that she was broken and needed to improve herself.
She was ready for something completely new.
When Tonya landed in Paris for the first time, a life long dream, it sparked a personal epiphany for her. Watching Parisians enjoying their daily life — kissing in the park, walking with friends, lingering over a fantastic meal — she said, “These people are French Kissing Life!"
And a movement was born.
