My name is Charles Ellis and I studied horticulture at Clemson University with a focus on landscape design. With this background and years of experience, I started Creativ Landscaping and have developed a system where we can provide each customer with a unique and specific program for managing their landscapes. This includes landscape maintenance based on proven methods, installation using quality

plant material and proper planting methods, and design services that meet the clients needs while also accommodating the current and future needs of the property. We do our best to properly manage the landscaping so that it looks better and healthier with time.

Hurricane Helene caused this wooden retaining wall to fail and our solution was to replace the wall with a segmental block retaining wall with proper drainage improvements behind the wall to prevent this from ever being an issue.

We recently completed a privacy screen installation along a property boundary between 2 using Chindo Viburnum.

Years of neglect resulted in the need to replace the coping, tile, and interior surface. Due to the organic shape of the pool, the new stone coping pieces were custom created onsite to fit each location around the pool edge.

We recently completed this front entry renovation and upgrade and are thrilled with the results. The original brick steps and landing were small and did not properly fit the home for a proper front door approach, so we worked with the client to create a more appropriate and beautiful stone entry with a larger flared stone walkway to connect to the existing stone pathway.

Kousa Dogwoods have a bloom season that extends from May through June depending on the cultivar and are a stunning spectacle of white blooms draped across the trees when most other trees have completed their flowering.

We are grateful to have been involved in the installation of the most recent historical marker placed in Vinings to celebrate Nelly Mae Rowe and her artistic accomplishments. The marker is placed at the former location of her home, known to many has her “Playhouse”, and is a reminder of the deep and rich history the small community of Vinings has over the years.

Even part to full shade spaces can be filled with a beautiful mixture of textures and colors. Utilizing only these shades of green from the Farfugium, Southern Shield Fern, and Tall Acorus, this pathway border (in nearly full shade from the home) is lush and inviting for the homeowner and their guests to enjoy.

Oakleaf Hydrangeas will start to be in full bloom in a matter of weeks if not sooner. These deciduous shrubs offer an incredible amount of seasonal appeal with their showy white flowers in May and June and their red and burgundy fall leaf color. Plant them in part to full shade with space to grow and watch them mature into their large and mounding natural shape.

We are just around the corner from Astilbe beginning to have there day in the sun. Many varieties of colors ranging from white to red to purple, and many variations amongst those, may start blooming as early as May. Planted in part shade, these deciduous perennials have beautiful soft green leaves and send up large showy plumes-like flowers during their flowering window late spring thru late summer.
