Have you considered visiting Japan?
How about staying a night or two in a traditional Japanese Inn, ryokan. You can wear yukata robes, eat traditional meals, sleep on futons and some offer natural hot springs, onsens. This one also has amazing views.

Amsterdam - Cruising - Cologne
Great morning cruising the canals of Amsterdam with a little more shopping and then cruising south towards Cologne - and our first lock! Great Cologne city tour and our first Christmas Market - Weihnachtsmarket - for our first taste of Gluehwein (mulled wine) - yum!

Embarkation Day and Amsterdam - dropped off our bags first thing then toured Our Lord in the Attic, Anne Frank’s Annex and ate some Dutch pancakes before heading back to the ship for a champagne reception, dinner and entertainment. Great day!
