The Normanville Swimming Pontoon is Back in the Water! 🎉

Just in time for Christmas, we’re thrilled to announce that the much-loved Normanville pontoon is back where it belongs – in the water!

This fantastic outcome wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible generosity of our community, including the two anonymous donors and all those who contributed through the GoFundMe campaign. Thank you to the Yankalilla Normanville Progress Association for their proactive fundraising efforts, which have made the pontoon’s long-awaited return a reality.

We also extend our thanks to Elected Members, Council staff and contractors for working tirelessly to problem solve during a difficult financial climate, in order to deliver something valued by so many in our community.

Whether you’re swimming, jumping or just enjoying the view, we hope the pontoon brings joy to locals and visitors alike this summer.

There is a great little bike track - just up the end of Ronald Street that takes you into the heart of Carrickalinga. 10kms round trip - magic.

The Garnet Kelly Reserve track has recently been extended. It’s just a short drive from the Beachouse - 6791 Main Road Normanville. It’s a beautiful little hike 3km round trip and you can see the ruins of an old hotel! I wore my hiking 🥾 boots and was happy I did.

Local Mare Bello Pizza Bar place to move locations.

The rumours are true! We will be relocating Mare Bello Pizza from Normanville to Yankalilla.

Our new address will be 102 Main South Road, Yankalilla (at the entrance of the Yankalilla Footy Oval).

Our last day trading in Normanville is the 3rd of June. To facilitate this relocation we will be closing from the 3rd June to the 13th.

Our first day at our new location will be 8am on the 14th June.

We are also excited to announce that we will be expanding our opening hours. Once we relocate we will be open from 8am to 8pm everyday except Monday. This will include
☕️Breakfast
🥪Lunch
🍽️Dinner (as usual)

Mare Bello will be open for Takeaway and Dine in.

Business at Mare Bello will continue as normal until our last day in Normanville (3rd June). The above changes will come into effect when we reopen in Yankalilla.
