Hello guys! Today the journey brings us to Armenia 🇦🇲
Armenia is a country whose name you pronounce as you are used to if you’ve never been there. But after you went there… you take a deep breath and want to shout out “Armeniaaaaa” to hear the echo coming back from the mountains.
Perfect country to escape from reality, to hide (and I’m sure a lot of people did). A country where you can enjoy the silence, scenic views, and ancient history. Just think about it: Armenia adopted Christianity in 301 AD and managed to preserve well the churches and monuments built centuries ago.
In its history, it knew a lot of tragedies. The most significant impact had the wars of 1918-1920 resulting in huge human and territorial losses, including twin-peak mountain Ararat to Turkey.
What unusual can you find here as a tourist?
Yerevan – capital, also called the “pink city” because of the color of the stones used for the buildings. A city with a modern hint, modern art and lots of stairs to climb.
Brandy. Got ya! The best of the best. It has a remarkable taste not only because of the very sweet grape but also because of the superior quality of groundwaters it’s made of.
As someone who is born in Moldova, I know what good brandy tastes like, but Armenian one beats all I’ve tried before.
High-altitude lake Sevan – 1900m above the sea level, clear cold waters, beautiful views.
Very old churches and mountains – together. On the top of the mountains, hidden in the mountains, etc. The most memorable one is Tatev, where you can get to by the cableway “Wings of Tatev” almost literally flying 300m high above the abyss.
Famous twin-peak Ararat – you can look at it endlessly but you can’t touch it.

What else?
Delicious food: bread baked in the traditional oven right in the supermarket, soups with unique recipes, grilled meat, Armenian coffee, sweets.
Beautiful music – sad as history of Armenia and deep as its soul (some links in the comments).
People - no need to engage a lot with locals to understand what they value the most. They live today, now, in this specific moment, they are given to make someone a little bit happier.

Last year I was among the pilots (for one of the dutch banks) to test this solution out. Since couple of months wearables are accessible to the wider public. Love it! More info in the video

Dali Theatre-Museum, post #3
Hello everyone! Greetings from the sunny Netherlands!
If I am asked what is one of the most unusual artificial places on Earth, the answer would be - Teatre-Museu Gala Salvador DalĂ in Figueres, Spain.
What is surrealism, cubism and other artistic movements I started to discover at the age of 10. Near the school I went to there was a library that had an art department. Every day I spent a couple of hours there thumbing through the books that sometimes were even too heavy to lift on my own.
And here it comes: surrealism. Strange paintings, scary paintings… The first painting that left me speechless was “Soft construction with boiled beans” by Salvador Dali. Why on Earth would someone create something so ugly? Later I found out that the painting was about war. As they say, all the wars are ugly, all the scars are ugly.
Luckily, surrealism is much more than horrifying paintings - it’s an irrational expression of thoughts, love, everything a person can see, feel, imagine.
With regards to surrealism, Salvador Dali is… surrealism. In its unsurpassed form. The theatre-museum he built in Figueres I’d compare to Scrooge McDuck gold dive. It’s not just a painting or two, it’s an entire world that slowly opens its doors to blow your mind away in a few minutes. Here you get an impression that Dali was able to transform everything he ever touched or looked at in his life into art. A few pictures to prove it. Enjoy!

Jordan, post #2.
Hello guys! Greetings from the sunny Netherlands! 
Today I want to tell you about Jordan where I went 2 years ago. I’ve decided to start with this country because it’s tourist-friendly and easy to reach. Still it has a lot of natural and historical wonders.
Below – what impressed me the most during the trip and what I’d definitely do once again.
1) Wadi Rum – day trip through the desert, overnight stay.
Desert full of beautiful landscapes, red sand, space and silence. Joy for eyes, ears and soul.
For bedouins that live here the desert is like one big home, it gives them the freedom another place on Earth is not able to. Staying overnight in the desert is an unforgettable experience, same as food baked in sand and a 2 pm nap in a shadow of a hill without anyone else around for miles.
PS camels live their own life: they decide when and where to go to and when to come back to their owners. At the time of my trip most of them were somewhere near Saudi Arabia so there was no any camel milk to taste ))
2) Visit locals, try bread with zaatar and olive oil.
Well, this was unplanned. During the flight to Amman, somehow, I had a 3 hour long conversation with a woman sitting next to me who was originally from Russia but lived in Jordan for almost 30 years. Together with her husband she invited to meet again in the city and visit their home.
3) Dead Sea.
Jordan has the same Dead Sea as Israel, no doubts about it. Enjoy swimming in the salty "jelly water" 
(swimming is a big word here, you can’t do it the same way you are used to)
4) Petra
Petra is not just the main gate everyone has seen on the pictures. It’s a big ancient town, with multiple walking routes. Here you can walk and climb as long as you physically can. And beyond.
5) Gulf of Aqaba – located in the very south of Jordan. It's an unique point where 4 countries meet each other: Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Israel and Egypt.
Also a good place for diving.
6) Amman
Like any other capital gives a good idea on what to expect from the country. Amman has several ancient monuments, interesting museums, oriental markets.
All in all I wouldn’t spend much time here. Why?
See point 1.
