Head on over to The Nook tonight for our epic New Year’s Eve Ball Drop celebration! 🎊 The party kicks off at 10 PM with the ball dropping at midnight. Enjoy free hot cocoa, a limited supply of noisemakers provided by The Chrislip on Main, music that’ll have you dancing, a cozy fire pit, and Margarita's Philippi West Virginia (across the street) will be open late to satisfy all your food and drink cravings. Barbour County is located in north-central West Virginia, USA. It was formed in 1843 when the region was still part of the state of Virginia. Philippi, the county seat, was chartered in 1844. Barbour County and Philippi were named for Philip Pendleton Barbour (1783-1841), a prominent and respected United States Congressman and the United States Supreme Court Associate Justice. With a population of 16,831, Barbour County offers small town and rural living at its finest in Belington, Junior, Philippi, Galloway, Century, and several dozen additional unincorporated areas.
