Happy Holidays from Students Love Travel!⛄️
What a great breeze we got yesterday! The Yole Ronde is a traditional boat of Martinique that was used by fishermen of yesteryear. These days they’re mostly sailed for fun and racing. This group had a blast sailing one off the coast of Les Trois-Îlets, great wind, warm Caribbean water, and plenty of sunshine!
Wild to walk the players tunnel onto the field at the home stadium of FC Bayern Munich. Amazing sound system.
Way faster than the one at Mutianyu (section of Great Wall in Beijing Province). It was wicked tempting to use the brake. #puckerupbuttercup
This world famous ski jump is concrete covered with a grass like plastic matting that’s soaked by a sprinkler system just before each run. Thank goodness every skier we watched landed well…
“The Surfers” is how the locals refer to part of the Eisbach River in Munich. You can see why…

Little did the girls know as they practiced a few basic steps at Epic (Irish Emigration Museum in Dublin) that a few hours later they’d be invited to dance with the Rahan Comhaltas during a seisiúin at the local rugby club. #traditionalirishmusic #rahancomhaltas #harp #sessions #girlscouts #scouting #studentslovetravel
Hunger meets hot pot! Legend has it that this method of cooking was developed by mongol warriors out on the steppes where bitter cold would freeze hunted game solid by the time they got back to camp. They would boil water in a helmet or shield, add any spices they could find, then slice meat off in thin strips and cook it. It’s a great story, and it’s really tasty! #mongolianhotpot #beijjng #studentslovetravel #educationaltravel #studentlife

Name that artist/song (hint: "Into the Wild"). It was perfect while we enjoyed lunch on the piazza in front of the Temple of Italian Glories (my preferred name for this particular basilica). We took a guided walk inside and visited the tombs of Galileo (astronomy), Machiavelli (The Prince), Dante (The Inferno), Marconi (Radio), and Michelangelo (come on now...).
