Today. Wed. 13th of March.....I could not get to a computer but had only a so so day....lost the under 8 bet on Chicago and Toronto in the NHL......but I thought it would be a good play buying a goal and going under 8....but toronto scored with 65 seconds to go and beat me.....but I had already criss crossed my under bet with an over 7.5.....so that parlay is alive.....

That makes two days in a row where I had a bad beat....as the nite before had Gonzaga game over......I believe they are the best team in the tourney and the nite before.......... they scored 100 points in a game.....so I took the over 141 but St. Mary's played the slowest game on record ....ate the clock ......and easily got the under .....but since I always go back and hedge at the half ....my play on that game under 132 at the half has another live parlay....

When you see you are in trouble ....don't be a dork and sit there on your hands.....go back and nullify the wager at half time or at the quarter mark.....it is called "in line playing".....and I use it many times every week.....I either win my dominant play ......go go for a push.....

Coming up on Thursday,,,,,,,,,,,, I like the Virginia North Carolina game over 122.....with a nice buy......bringing the total down 10 points.....and hooking it with D.Johnson to win this weeks golf tourney.....and he is going off at plus 1100.and tagging it with the Yanks to win the AL Pennant.....with a payoff of over 50 to 1 .....with those excellent prices.....

One thing.....even if Johnson finishes the first round at par or under 1-2-3-4 strokes.....go back and bet the field .....to win the tourney,......that way you cannot lose both of those wagers....

Regardless of WHO wins in the entire tourney....we have a winner......

Tomorrow I will go over the teams in the March Tourney who I believe have a good shot .....and those who I believe are over rated.....

Another great day yesterday as both plays came thru .....setting up parlays with beautiful returns....

First off.....TCU squeezed past Texas to kick off a parlay and at half time since the game was so close ........I put in a criss cross play on Texas to win the second half.....just to protect the dominant play on TCU............

TCU held on to win the game so our parlay is alive and well.....and Texas also won the second half.....so that play in of itself is a push....but the parlay is alive and well and working....

the second play I gave you yesterday was Oklahoma to beat Oklahoma State.....and when State ran out toa 20 point first half lead.....I though we were in big trouble.....but Okla. held on....bounced back and gave us the second win in the parlay leaving a great open TAG for the Super Bowl.....................

Hoping to continue our hot streak....today plays include another parlay......kicking off with a play on the total in the Cincinnati/Tulsa which is 134......so I bought 10 points and took the over 124.....and hooked that lean with the second game in the parlay which is USC and Arizona in college hoops.....

Arizona is the fav......slightly even with their center ailing.....but I still think they have enough power to beat USC .....and it may be a stretch to think that.....so just in case.....I bought 6.5 points on Arizona and have that play to beat USC.......

Even if Arizona is losing at the half.....the extra points should keep it close ...and if so....I will take USC to win the second half.....to protect the dominant......I put 3 future plays into the parlay at tremendous high prices......and these games are in NBA Division.....NBA Conference......and Hockey Conference......

Soooooooooo.......if Arizona holds on....we have a beautiful beginning to a 17 to 1 return with this entry.......''That's 17 to 1 and a chance to fiddle with the games as they come up for decisions......

IF I need to make a play on USC to win the second half.....it will be with the SAME three futures....at terrific prices.....so while I would like Arizona to win.....if USC wins.......we are still in the catbird seat......

I should warn you that I am not good at posting on
Facebook.....like yesterday when I put out a long post and then could not find it....

But got several e mails that told me it was under my last post under reply......and it is still there.....

As for the pick I gave you.....the Kansas State game over 110....it lost by several points.....but it end up as an overall push....since it was evident at the half that the game had no chance of going over 110....so I merely went back and made a move on the under 65 for the second half.....which came thru....and we had a push.....no action whatsoever.....on that game...

then we had a second play which I told you to work out....involving
Xavier and
Villanova with a total of 133 as the over over and 158 as the under.....I went with the over 133 .....and did need to do anything in line or at halftime, as it coasted to total over.....

And it is alive with plays on the Super Bowl and Tampa Bay to win the Hockey East Conference.....

What lesson do you take from that......simply that when you are in trouble in any play ....ANY PLAY and do not see a clear path to a win....like in the Kansas state game had no chance of going over.....you merely go over and make a play on the opposite....in this case the under for the second half and you take the push.....which I did ....and ALWAYS DO...and sometimes catch a middle....but in this case....it was just a push and I was happy with that......

Lets go to
Wednesday and a look at a game in the colleges.......and we zero in on
TCU vs Texas.......with TCU the fav by a couple of points,......but I do not like to lay points .....I do not like to give the enemy anything.....so I took the Money Line of 150.....where I merely lay \150 instead of -110.....but no points and end up with a play on TCU at -150 (NO POINTS ).....and hooked it with a late game in the colleges with Oklahoma140 to beat Oklahoma
State.......with a TAG of New England to win the SB......

And IF I am in trouble in either game......I will make moves during the game or at half time or at beginning of 4th quarter.......

THE FOOTBALL SEASON ENDED YESTERDAY AND IT WAS BY FAR THE GREATEST RUN i HAVE HAD SINCE i STARTED MY SERVICE ABOUT 37 YEARS AGO.......1983 TO BE EXACT.......

FOR ALL OF THESE PAST 37 YEARS i HAVE PUT A SPORTS PICK ON THE MESSAGE BOARD ON MY SITE BUT THAT BOARD IS NOW DOWN......BUT THE CALLS KEEP COMING SO I WILL TRY ....AS IN TRY TO PUT ONE PICK A DAY .....AS I DID ON THAT BOARD ON MY FACEBOOK PAGE........

AND WILL GO OVER MY PLAYS FOR THE SUPER BOWL AS WELL......BUT STARTING WITH TONITE WE HAVE A PLAY IN THE COLLEGE HOOPS MATCH BETWEEN KANSAS AND IOWA STATE....WHERE IOWA STATE BURIED KANSAS A COUPLE WEEKS AGO ,.....SO TONITE I AM LOOKING AT THE TOTAL OF 148 THAT THE "" MAN "" PUT ON THE GAME ......AND SINCE I DO NOT BUCK PRO LINES.....I BOUGHT 10 POINTS AND WENT OVER 138 AND PARLAYED IT WITH AN OPENING PLAY ON NEW ENGLAND TO WIN THE SUPER BOWL....

THAT BUY OF 10 POINTS FOR THIS PARLAY NOW READS......KANSAS/IOWA STATE GAME OVER 138 POINTS......HOOKED WITH NE TO WIN THE SB......

YESTERDAY IN THE LATE GAME.....WHEN THE CHIEFS MADE A RUN AT THE PATS.....THE MAN MADE THE PATS THE FAVORITE BY A COUPLE OF POINTS....SO I BOUGHT 3 MORE POINTS.....TOOK THE CHIEFS WITH + 5 POINTS ....ALREADY HAD THE PATS AT PICK EM......AND WHEN THEY PULLED IT OUT .....I COVERED BOTH THE DOG (CHIEFS) AND WINNER IN THE ML........PATS.....GOT THE MIDDLE......

WE ARE TOTALLY GUARANTEED TO WIN EITHER THE OVER OR THE UNDER IN TONITES GAME.....AND WITH A MIDDLE OF ABOUT 17 OR 18 OR 19 OR 20 POINTS GOING FOR US .....WE HAVE A GOOD SOLID CHANCE OF HAVING TWO PARLAYS OPEN FOR THE SUPER BOWL.....

THIS IS THE ONLY WAY....TO LOOK AT SPORTS HANDICAPPING....BUYING POINTS OR GOALS OR RUNS TO ADD TO THE DOMINANT LEAN.....WHICH IS THE PATRIOTS......

Got about 7-8 questions about craps the past few days....from people who (happily) don't play BJ......but wanted to know two main items ....

a) do I play craps and b) Am I a DO or DON"T bettor.....

The answer to (a) is yes..... I have played craps for many many years ....but now it is available to me here in Florida on a twice a week availability.....although the local Hard Rock casino is considering putting Craps on their casino floor....and that will bring me to what I did in NJ for over 30 years......olay 5 days a week.....

Craps is NOT my number 1 game but I place it at number 4 ....and the answer to )b) is .....that I play both the DO and the DON'T....although my favorite is the DON'T side.....

I play the RICHOCHET Approach....my own personal invention (approach).....where I can NEVER EVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER....lose to the 7 again ....NEVER.....

And I know that 90% of the people I hear from know that method of play.....and that is the one I start with every time at the tables......AFTER.....and only AFTER I do my charting .....

I am well awae that 90% of Craps players are DO bettors....looking for the HOT ROLL and the BIG PAYOFF......but that is NOT my approach to gambling in general and Craps is this instance.....

I never play the Pass Line ....and NEVER throw the dice ......but when I play the DO side .I am a complete PLACE BETTOR.....and I get the choice of what numbers I can and will place .....

If you bet the Pass Line....you HAVE to settle for the number that the shooter throws as his come out Point Number ....and then the shooter has to make that number again....for the Pass Line bettor to be paid.....

Not so with me ....NOT SO...........

Since the number 4 and 10 can only be made three ways each .....and the 5 and 9 can only be made four ways each.....they are NOT my first cheerce for them being my dominant numbers for this roll..........because I want the numbers that can be made the MOST number of ways to be my working numbers....and of course the 6 and 8 ....which can be made 5 ways each is my total wish and concern to having them be my working numbers.....

By leaving it up to the shooter to make the 6 andor 8 as my dominant ....is nuts (and so are ALL of the DO bettors who bet the Pass Line......

I, myself, play the DO side when the table is hot.....and the way I play the DO side is simple.....and in this way guarantees ....as in totally GUARANTEES that I will have the 6 and 8 (the two most powerful DO number working for me every single solitary game.....

Here is the simple move.....

a) By Pass the Comeout Roll (do NOT make a bet on the Pass Line)....

b) After the shooter establishes his/her Pass Line Point (no matter what it is .....)

c) Place the 6 and 8 for $12 each (the amount will be explained in a different post ....but that is a very very very very very very very important part of the process (the amount of the bet on the 6 and 8....

Notice that I have the two most powerful DO numbers going for me every single solitary game I play.....and I only have to get ONE hit ....as in one teeny hit .....to guarantee a profit for that particular game ....(again....that explanation for another day)..........

Sooooooo, if you are a DO bettor and know (understand) the LOGIC of what I just said ).....then THIS is the way to bet the DO (Right Side ) of the game of craps....

Those of you who bet the PL and take odds .....are IMHO....simply Dorks ....who do not understand the stupidity of having to "settle" for numbers (5-6-9 or 10) which are harder to make than the 6 and 8....

And do NOT.....reply to be with the stupid comment......

"Hey Patrick......we get paid MORE money for betting the PL and taking odds .....then YOU get by playing the Place Bets".........

Please.....spare yourself the reply of being made to look like a Dork or sound like a Dork with a stupid comment like that ....because I will make you look silly with the extra perks AND PAYOFFS .....and PAYOFFS ....and PAYOFFS ...I receive with NOT playing the PL...................

So work it out yourself and THINK about what I am saying .....before you make yourself look silly ....or rather I make you look silly........

as I said ....Craps is a much much better game than BL....and offers a better chance of being successful ....and holding losses on Bad Days to a much less minimum.............

I also said Craps is my 4th best gambling outlet......the three better than that is Sports Betting ....far far far far better than ANY gambling outlet......Poker......and Pai Gow Poker ....

Baccarat is also in that grouping but that game is not often accessible or acceptable to the Professional Gambler .....and truly a game of streaks and the game itself is completed in a matter of seconds.....leaving the player with nothing to do but get it's bet out in front of them.....

In fact ....you could be asleep or DEAD at a Baccarat table .....and if your wager (chip) finds its way in front of you.....you're in the game ....it requires no move or decision or strategy on the part of the player......merely to get your chip or chips on the layout on either Player or Bank or Tie.....and you are involved in the outcome ....with NO DECISION on whether to draw a card or NOT draw a card or raise or fold your hand .....

Ste stinking thinking is done for you....although it is a great game for STREAKS........

Finally....Sports is by far the easiest way to make money .....and Poker is a solid number 2.....but remember this .....To play Poker ...you BETTER be a great player.....and I did NOT say a very good player or a good player or a smart player ....I said a GRRRRRR_EAT Player......otherwise you will get your clocked cleaned .....regulary!!!!!

Been a while since I posted on facebook.....but with the glut of e mails and messages I am getting......I believe many of the questions can be answered by daily posts on gambling .....so I will try to save myself a lot of time answering individual e mails ....and cover the questions and topics on this page.....

Most questions by newcomers to gambling ask the same question ...."Is Blackjack the best game in the house ...and if not .....what is?

If you are talking about table games in a casino ....BJ is NOT the best game in the house ....In fact it is the WORST game for a player to get involved in.....It is a house game where the rules over whelmingly favor the house ....OVER WHELMINGLY......

and if you listen to any crap from so called experts who tell you this is a good game.....then go ahead.....follow their ill intended advice and play BJ.....

and you will come crawling back in a few months crying that you got wiped clean by the table.......

and if you would take the time to just consider the WHY I say don't play it ....look at the LOGIC of my statement .....

The game of BJ is a simple game and if any of you are smart enough to count to 21.....then you think you have the game down pat......so lets look at just a couple of things that are strongly against you....just with the basic premise of the game itself.....

You buy in at a table .....and make a wager in front of you....lets say it is $10......and the game begins.....you are dealt 2 cards .....and the dealer is dealt two cards also ....(his is one card face down which of course you can't see).....and the other is face up......which is the card that is used for YOU to make your decision to either stand with your two original cards ....or call for a hit or Split your two cards if they are of equal value or even DOUBLE DOWN your initial wager of $10 by sliding another $10 chip onto the layout ....and you will receive ONE more card....

Your job (chore) is to get as close to 21 as you can .....without exceeding 21 by drawing as many cards as you wish.....before the dealer gets to make his/her move.....

NOW comes the part of understanding (or lack thereof) .....newcomers and even veteran players fail to grasp......and that is .....WHEN AM I IN TROUBLE with my initial move ....based on what the dealer is showing as his/her up card.....

First of all .....understand WHAT VALUE card you can draw ....and what value is the card of the dealer that is face down ....and you cannot ASSUME what it is ......because it is one of 13 cards ......so you cannot ASSUME anything unless you are a genius and can ascertain exactly what the next card to be dealt is ....and what is the value of he unforeseen dealers down card.....

And most of you ....including veteran players will blurt out ......"OH......HE PROBABLY HAS A 10 Value card as his down card.........because with 10...Jack...Queen...King as 10 value cards ......they are the most in the deck....."

As soon as you hear that statement .....you know you are listening to an idiot.....because they could not be wrong...er!!!! There are NOT more 10 value cards than the other cards......

In a normal deck of 52 cards ......there are 4 cards of each value of Ace....2....3....4....5.....6....7....8....9....10....Jack....Queen....King......making a 52 deck .....so there are only 16 ten value cards as opposed to 36 non tens.....so it is two and a quarter chance of NOT being a 10 value card that is face down....

BUT.....that down value card could be a 7 or 8 or 9 or Ace to go with the four ten value cards......meaning that IF he is showing what is called a standing card (his UP card) of 10 value card or Ace or 9 or 8 .....then he could be in a position of NOT having to hit his total hand of 17 thru 21.....so all he has to do is sit and wait for YOU to make a decision and he could most likely win that hand (with a strong 8 thru ace and 10 card as his up card....

And all he has to do is wait for you to make your moves......because IF IF IF you break (go over 21).....he wins even if he is sitting with a lousy total hand of 16....because YOU have to make your move first .....

One quick example .....we will say the dealer has a Jack as his up card......YOU ARE IMMEDIATELY in trouble ....BIG trouble ....we will say you have a total hand of 14 or 15 or 16 ......

Against his JACK (or any standing hand of Ace...10...9...8...7 .....YOU have to hit ....you cannot stand on a breaking hand of 16 or 15 or 14 or 13 or even 12......YOU HAVE to hit or else .....with your lousy hand of 14 or 15 or 16 ....and his UP card (in this case a Jack)...

If you stand with that terrible total of 14 or 15 or 16.....he could have the Jack and turn over a 7 or 8 or 9 or 10 or Jack or Queen or King or Ace.....and beat you.....That is 32 POSSIBLE cards he could turn over as his down card ....and wallop you .....out of 52 cards in a single deck game .....and 192 possible one of those cards in a 6 deck game .....

And even if he turned over a 2 or 3 as his second cad ....he has the opportunity of hitting a hard 12 or 13 .....and have a decent chance of getting to 17 thru 21.....

And finally......lets say you DO hit that hard of (FOR EXAMPLE 15) .....you are in deep trouble ........if you catch a 7 or 8 or 9 or 10 or Jack or Queen or King and immediately lose....or you could catch an ace and have to hit again.....or you could catch a 2 and have 17 ....a terrible terrible terrible total.....and will liose 89
