1963 Summer photo of Harry Truman's entire property on the SW corner of Spirit Lake from Bear Cove on the NW side of the lake. It was about 50 acres leased from Northern Pacific Railway. Starting in 1939 until late 1979 Truman ran this and during the 1940s thru 1970s it was incredibly popular and very busy. Truman was one of the only lodges up there with supplies. He did quite well.
