Civil Rights Tours
The fiftieth anniversary of Freedom Summer (the Mississippi Summer Project), a campaign to register African Americans to vote which took place in 2014 at Historic Tougaloo College.
Veterans of Freedom Summer and the Civil Rights Movement are elderly, but still extraordinarily active around the world. The 50th anniversary history is the gateway for national and international visitors to tour the Freedom Summer sites and spend extended time walking in the footsteps of veterans. Mississippi Legacy Tours, Sara Williams, will arrange professional scheduling with intensive experiences for visitors in both short and long-term visits.
