Dear Sailors,

To set sail in Brazil’s Angra dos Reis itinerary is not purely to begin a journey across water—it’s to enter, together, into a living experiment in community and connection. Brought by the vision of a captain, the chef, and travelers alike, together, we find ourselves no longer passengers, but co-conspirators in a quest to explore the seas of Brazil. As we set sail across the emerald coastline of the Costa Verde—a jagged meeting of Atlantic and Mata Atlântica—we begin to shed light on the adventure at large. This stretch of Brazil, lush with rainforest and dotted with over 300 islands, feels ancient and alive. Schedules dissolve. With each gust of wind and each glint of sun on the water, we form a new rhythm—a collective movement to the pace of tide and breeze.

Costa Verde is south of Rio de Janeiro, it’s best to arrive on Saturday or before to explore Rio. A private shuttle will be arranged to pick you in Rio on Sunday morning to drive to Jacuecanga about 90 minutes away. You’ll arrive in a lush tropical wonderland with more greenery than ever seen before! After quickly settling in and a fantastic meal aboard, captain will offer a safety chat, a chart briefing, and then you’re off. Activities during the week are snorkeling and diving (for certified divers), beach walks on the golden sand, local food and music at the coastal towns, relaxing, and living your best life. A voyage through the Nile River & the Ptolemaic Kingdom, 2026 departures...

Sailing Collective announced the March '26 ten-day voyage just two weeks ago and the departure is now nearly SOLD OUT with only two-single cabins still available and a long waitlist for other cabins. This means we are looking into adding additional departure date! We are considering late May or early Fall.

The experience: Arrive in Luxor, a small city on the east bank of the Nile in southern Egypt, home to the ancient Thebes and the capital at the hight of the pharaoh's power. We check in to the illustrious Al Moudira Hotel (look it up) where we settle in and live as the pharaohs. Day trips to the temples and extravagant dinners during the evenings, proper dress requested. Then, we board. Slowly sailing south down the ancient river aboard a traditional Dahabiya sailing barge outfitted with luxuries, we stop along the river daily to explore. Days are spent lounging as we pass by the fertile lands. After five-nights, we end our river voyage and fly to Cairo where we will spend two-nights at the luxury Four Seasons. Together with our Egyptologist, we take trips to the Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx, we walk the bizarre and explore the culturally rich metropolis.

For those who don’t know, we lead an annual expedition chartering unique ships in locations isolated and largely disconnected from the mainstream way of life. This week: the remote Raja Ampat located in West Papua New Guinea. We can attest, it’s not close to nearly anything! But beyond worth the time. We all agree, natural beauty that is unmatched. Generous hospitality to a natural wonderland rarely seen in this stage on earth. Underwater is a different universe, ashore, a culture so inviting and inclusive - our hearts are glowing snd eyes wide open. This week we are exploring and EPIC itinerary, Raja Ampat in West Papua New Guinea sailing aboard a 150’ phinisi expedition vessel with a group of 13 intrepid Sailing Collective explorers having the time of our lives! From the most spectacular diving, sprawling tropical islands, cultural exchanges .. it’s been an experience! Three days in so far and this itinerary just keeps expanding. Our hearts are full and eyes wide open, more stories to come!
