💙 BREAKING 💚 A Monsters, Inc. land is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios including the first-ever suspended coaster in a Disney park!.................................................
I've got LOTS of Disney Parks news, but my favorite is Monsters Inc. Is getting an official land in WDW. Hollywood Studios will be expanding with a dedicated space for Monsters Inc including a coaster! Do you have any idea how many YEARS I've been saying Monsters Inc. would make an incredible coaster? More posts to come later about other announcements.

Throwback photo to when my son and I were Mike & Boo on his first ever Disney trip.

🎄 Merry Christmas in July! 🎄

Christmas is only 153 days away. That's less than 6 months. You can book your Walt Disney World vacation now for only a $200 deposit!

🔴 When should you travel?
I recommend traveling in the first two to three weeks of December. You're not going to find really low crowds but the earlier in the month you travel the less crowded it will be.

❌ If it can be avoided I do not recommend traveling in the time between Christmas & New Year's. This is the busiest time of the year and you may find the crowds overwhelming.

✅Budget friendly!
When you book a WDW Vacation Package you only need a $200 deposit. A package is room + tickets OR room + tickets + dining plan. Your remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your check in date. These complimentary payment plans make it easy to budget for your trip and other holiday costs.

🟢 Party tickets can be added to any package and the cost is due at the time of purchase. There are two Christmas parties at Walt Disney World this year.
-Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom
-Jollywood Nights in Hollywood Studios

Happy Birthday Disneyland!

Disneyland is the original Disney park. It opened on July 17, 1955. Here are a few fun facts about Disneyland that you may not know.

Disneyland Castle is Sleeping Beauty's and it was used as the focal point of the park to promote the movie releasing the next year.

Disney park fans often say they want to "walk where Walt walked" because Disneyland is the only park designed and built under the direct supervision of Walt Disney.

The original themed areas of Disneyland were Main Street USA, Fantasyland, Adventureland, Frontierland and Tomorrowland.

Figment vs Orange Bird

Figment & Orange Bird are both original creations for Disney Parks. You wont find a movie dedicated to them and only Figment has a ride. But you will find lots of Disney Parks fans with.... opinions.

Figment is the (unofficial) mascot of Epcot and my personal favorite of the two. He headlines his own attraction and Festival of the Arts. When a popcorn bucket was released in his likeness the lines were 8 HOURS long to purchase it.

Orange Bird can be found year round in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom. He doesn't have his own attraction but he does a mural in Disney Springs, an orange stand in Magic Kingdom and headlines Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot.

Do you have a favorite?

I get asked all the time "Do you book more than Disney?" The answer is YES, I definitely do. About half my client list are frequent visitors of Universal Parks & Resort.

There's still time to get tickets to their premiere event of the year: Halloween Horror Nights. You'll experience movie set quality haunted houses, scare zones and the terror tram. If spooky season is your favorite then this is a can't miss event!

What's my favorite theme park? Spoiler alert, it's not in Florida.

Disney California Adventure is my favorite park. For my east coast Disney people the best way I can describe it as a combination of Epcot & Hollywood Studios.

You should visit DCA if you're a fan of. Pixar and/or the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Pixar Pier is a joy to explore several different Pixar themed attractions. Avengers Campus can only be found at DCA in the US. SanFranSokyo Square is brand new and embodies the atmosphere of Big Hero Six. Carsland is unmatched for immersive theming.

Spring is a great time for East Coasters to visit California. Let me know if a Disneyland trip is on your radar and we'll make it happen.

Hey friends! My page has been quiet for a while because I've had quite a lot going on behind the scenes. I wanted to take a minute to re-introduce myself.

Yes, I am still booking magical vacations for you!

Right now I'm working on fall trips for a few clients who will be attending Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

There's still time to get in some last minute summer trips. Don't forget that WDW has water parks too!

It's also time to book your Christmas vacation. Disney has two special ticketed seasonal events again this year. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom & Jollywood Nights in Hollywood Studios.

You can message me or email me to get started on your trip.

Want Castle pics without the crowds? I’ve got a few spots up my sleeve. Sure you may want a classic picture in front of the castle and I absolutely reccomend getting one. Then follow the paths around the castle to find more angles and less people. This photo was taken behind the castle in a little corner just past Bippity Boppity Boutique.

Some of my other favorite spots are at the Wishing Well on the path towards Tomorrowland, the arches behind the castle in Fantasyland & the top of the Walt Disney World Railroad with the castle in the far background.

Thinking about these “Totchos” from Animal Kingdom. 10/10 would reccomend. Tater Tots, loads of cheese, scrambled eggs and bacon.

In the past I’ve struggled to find breakfast at AK but they’ve really upped their game lately. You can find these at Kusafira Coffee Shop in the Africa section of Animal Kingdom park.

On Adeline’s first official trip to Disney we took this photo of us in front of the castle and a tradition was born.

This is her last trip as part of the “free under 3” club. Disney has seperate price ranges for different ages. Infants are considered to be 0-2 and are free at Disney. There is no charge for park tickets and no charge at certain restaurants like character meals. Baby A as I called her for a long time got 3 trips in before turning 3. Our next trip she’ll be part of the 3-9 range. She’s made sure to let me know she is NOT a baby anymore.

Planning tip: As long as you check-in BEFORE they turn 3 then they remain free for the whole trip. Even if you check in the day before their birthday.

📸 Ages in photos: 3 months > 1.5 > almost 3

Storytime…When I was pregnant I decided that when Thomas turned 5 he would get a special Disney trip. One where he got to decide where we stayed, what rides we did, where we ate etc. I hadn’t yet made the decision to become a Travel Planner with Main Street and More Travel, that would come a few months later. But, for some reason I concocted the idea that we needed a special trip for a 5th birthday and I didn’t let that idea go.

So how did our long awaited trip go? We had a few setbacks.

1) We couldn’t be there over his actual birthday because of other things on the calendar.

2) A week before our scheduled trip he broke his leg and is in a nearly full leg cast and is non-weight bearing. This means he’s in a wheelchair most of the time.

Despite those things this trip turned out to be the best yet.

At his request we stayed at Pop Century Resort (he wanted the Mickey Mouse room, as he calls it).

Toy Story is still a favorite of his so that was his top priority for our two park days. It’s not a Disney trip for kids without Magic Kingdom so we spent our first day there. In Magic Kingdom we made sure to ride Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin multiple times. Another highlight from that day was Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor. He was trying to crack his own jokes.

In Hollywood Studios we spent most of our time in Toy Story land. We went several rounds on Midway Mania and he got to ride Alien Swirling Saucers. We had breakfast at Woody’s Lunchbox (my personal favorite breakfast in the parks). He chose not to ride Slinky Dog Dash so we still have that to look forward to on future trips.

In a surprise twist his favorite ride was Star Wars Rise of the Resistance. Which I am very happy about but it did come as a shock.

Even with his broken leg he was still able to do everything he wanted to do at the parks. On some rides we took the wheelchair onto the ride vehicle and other times I transferred him into the vehicle. We were able to utilize DAS pass for this trip which gives me an even greater understanding of how that process works.

At his request we did not visit any characters but we did wave at some from a distance. The only downside of our trip was that he didn’t get to swim at the pool.

I’m often asked what is the perfect age for a Disney trip and while there isn’t a one size fits all answer, age 5 was pretty magical.

Disney Cruise Line is designed with families in mind.

This is an often used tagline but what does it mean practically?

•Most rooms include a split bath. This means you have one bathroom with a toilet, sink & vanity and one bathroom with a tub/shower, sink & vanity.

•There is under bed storage with space for luggage and even strollers.

•Each room has delightful character touches.

•You have the opportunity to meet characters on board the ship.

•Kids & Teen clubs (ages 3+) are included in the price of your cruise. These aren’t your average babysitters. They are vetted and trained to Disney standards.

•No drink packages necessary! Sodas and tea are included in your cruise pricing.

•24 hour room service at no extra cost. Yes, you can have a Mickey ice cream bar delivered to your room.

✨ FRIDAY FAVORITES ✨

What’s my favorite Disney park?

Disney California Adventure!

For my Disney World guests I like to describe it as the perfect combination of Epcot & Hollywood Studios. As a WDWer no one is more surprised than me that a Disneyland park takes my top spot above all US Disney parks.

DCA gives you:
Pixar Pier
Avengers Campus
Hollywood Land
Carsland & more!

They have some amazing food and drink options and some of the best rides Disney has to offer (looking at you Radiator Springs Racers & WEBSlingers).

This park alone is enough for me to recommend a visit out to the California Disney Parks.

If travel costs are equal and you are a Pixar fan or have little Pixar fans then Disneyland is the trip I recommend. Disneyland/DCA are a lot easier to navigate with littles and isn’t quite as overwhelming as WDW can be with that age group.

Don’t get me wrong I still love Walt Disney World but Disneyland has some undeniable perks.

Adventure is out there!

I caught the travel bug after my first trip to Walt Disney World in 2009. My husband and I started traveling together on our honeymoon and haven't stopped since. We welcomed our son in spring of 2019 and can't wait to introduce him to some of our favorite places and discover new ones together. Our favorite trips to take together are Christmas Vacations. I believe anyone can travel the world some may just need a little help to get started. No matter your budget I can help you plan an amazing trip with memories that will last a lifetime.
