I was gonna declare today as the First Official Afro Friday after a light bulb turned on. But fortunately I decided to Google it. Turns out Afro Fridays does exist. So I won't be creating a page for this special day. I'll just join in and celebrate it in my own way.

I will celebrate natural hair and the Afro as a part of my true self every Friday. It'd be great to have a fro or some kind of fuzziness and not be self conscious in public. I hope we can all be free to have healthy natural hair no matter where we are, unrestricted. The customary way to celebrate Afro Friday is to let your hair down, or more appropriately for some, let your hair out. And at some point during that day, to receive a scalp massage. And Afro Friday can be for everyone, by just letting your hair be free and natural. Even bald people can celebrate Afro Friday, because at the root, this day of the week is devoted to us being our natural true selves, without hiding our textures or our origins.
