Who would like to be here?

Kourtaliotiko gorge is 22 kilometers south of Rethymnon, in Crete. You can easily access this canyon by road, leave your cars in the designated parking area, and descend into the gorge. The three-kilometer-long canyon starts from the valley near the village of Koxare, and runs between the mountains Kouroupa and Koules. The two sides of the gorge reach up to six hundred meters, leaving you breathless in front of this natural wonder. On the bottom of those cliffs lies the Kourtaliotiko River, which crosses the gorge and flows into the palm forest of Preveli. Video credits @explorecrete
