This weekend is expect to be one of the biggest travel weekends in terms of air travel in almost 20 years according to AAA.

Arrive for your flight early if you are flying, even if you have TSA precheck. I’d check in online with your app before arriving at the airport. If you can avoid checking a bag, do that. If you’re taking a quick 3 night trip. Take a carry on and personal item bag (backpack).
Checking a bag forces you to have to go through the check in line, and bag drop lines. That can slow down your time at the airport by 30-45 minutes on a busy travel day.

If you have TSA precheck make sure that it’s indicated on your ticket you don’t want to get into the security line and realize that it’s not there. Don’t assume just that just because you have precheck thst it automatically filters through to your boarding pass. It doesn’t always, make sure you type in your info (known traveler number) on your ticket through the airline’s website of through their app before getting to the airport.
