In 2012 Lee Sie, Mark Handy, and Joey Skibel became photographers for Peerless Fine Art Gallery. They were sent abroad to capture images of places all over the globe. As they returned home and shared their adventures they noticed something in common. During their travels they met other photography enthusiasts that were intrigued with their lifestyle. Sharing photo tips and unique locations became

something that they enjoyed while getting the shots that they needed. This started the idea to join forces and create Fine Art Photo Treks. To share the experience of traveling to a foreign destination and searching for the perfect shot!

Venice to the Dolomites 2025
After several successful photo treks throughout Italy I have decided to create a whole new one! This time it’s the Dolomites and I am excited to share the many unique locations that I have discovered there and along the way! So I will be hosting a new Italy Photo Trek from September 15 - 22, 2025. My group size will be a maximum of 5 persons and I will be the driver to take us to our accommodations and photo locations. I chose Venice to be my starting point because I consider it a candy shop for photographers and it is such an iconic place to be. From there we will venture to Lake Garda and spend a few days along the beautiful lakeside capturing serene locations and exploring mysterious castles and sanctuaries. Onwards to the Dolomites! We will drive through some gorgeous mountain scenery that will definitely take your breath away! Mountains, Lakes, Forests and rolling hills as far as the lens can see! Seiser Alm
I had a very fun trek in the Alpe di Siusi! I am planning on creating my next Italy Photo Trek to include this amazing location as there is so much to explore and photograph here! Stay tune as I will be announcing the new destinations and dates for 2025 very soon!

The colors of Burano
While in Venice my group and I explored the island of Burano. It was interesting to see the different combinations of colors throughout the town!

It was another fantastic Italy Photo Trek! My group and I had a wonderful time wandering about and capturing the scenery! I already miss the great camaraderie and cappuccinos!

Definitely a must do in this city! Roaming the Streets from dawn till sunrise,. My group and I had the whole place to ourselves followed up with a Brioche and Cappucino! Photography Note: Street lamps turn off at 6:38am.

Basilica Grandioso
My default go to spot for the sunset was delayed due to the fantastic colors that lit up the Basilica in the square!

Villa Sie
It all started 10 years ago when I was commissioned to capture images throughout Europe. I spent a few weeks seeking out the most iconic locations in several countries. I found that Italy was my favorite for photographing beautiful scenery . This one was the photograph that convinced me to revisit Italy several more times. I just couldn’t get enough of it! I will be there with my group next month for some more exploring!
This limited edition of 50 printed on acrylic is currently on display at Sparks Gallery located in the Gaslamp District of San Diego.

Venice Awaits
Due to the popular demand I have created another Italy Photo Trek for this upcoming Fall. It will be from September 16th to 24th 2024. We will start off in Venice then Florence and onward to the Cinque Terre. I will also have an extension trip available to visit some new spots to the North of Italy. I keep my group size to a small number of persons and I have just one spot left. So if you are interested in coming along on this super fun Italian photo safari Let me know!

Tuscan Charm
Made a special crop to fit nicely in this collectors unique space. This piece was captured during one of my Italy photo treks. This year’s treks are fully booked but I am creating a new itinerary for 2025. Stay tuned!

May is the prime time to visit Tuscany especially for photography as there will be plenty of Poppies in full bloom. I will be hosting a couple of Italy photo treks this May and June. Including Venice Tuscany and the Cinque Terre. If you’re interested in joining let me know!

Got Vespa
These iconic little scooters can be seen all over Italy and they make a great subject for photographing! For those of you that are interested, I will be sharing my experience of European Travels in a slideshow presentation this Thursday at 8pm. It will be located at the Photographic Society of Orange County in Fountain Valley. I will explain how I was inspired to capture images like these to become fine art for the walls of art collectors homes. I will provide some Post production tips that I use to create “Fine Art Photographs”. Of course I will also be raffling off 5 of my signature “Cam-Pad”s to those that attend!
