Punching some drain holes for coming trips. Amazed how well the ice is holding up! Hopefully we squeeze another few days in
Lake is angry tonight. This was filmed at 12:30am Saturday Feb 24. Open water runs from Goffats Island to Cedermont Beach Point. All parties made it off safely and are back on shore. Please use extreme caution in the am if your planing to travel to the main part of the lake.
Finally nice to be able to show what we have been getting the whities on the last few years. Some of you guys had the chance to use the protype the last couple of years and thanks for keeping it on the down low. Xzone Stealth Invader! My preferred color is 309 but my favorite is Touchdown. These baits make a mess!
Burbs are so cool. It's amazing once classified as a trash fish is gaining such a huge following amongst ice anglers and for good reason!
You and your buddies better run because the next time we meet you might not be so lucky! I forsee some severe head trauma in the near future. Amazing to see how well the birds made it through the winter. Feels weird not spending everyday on the ice...oh well back to shed hunting and scouting some long beards before bear season starts! It's almost time to get the gear sighted in!
With some of the burbs absolutely inhaling the baits we decided to make a little burbby pen for them. Any fish hooked deeply we typically do this once we see blood coming out from their gills if we are not keeping any. Nothing worse the releasing a fish you know will not make it. It's awesome to see how popular these fish are getting and also alot more anglers starting to target them! Ice is holding up great and we will definetly be out until March 31st.
Had a chance to target the burbs after I brought the groups back in. The colors are amazing on some of these burbs! Every fish has basicly their own patterns and coloration. Such a unique species. This was one of many released last night. Ice is still holding strong and will probably last until the end of March hopefully. Good job last night guys and enjoy the eats!
Night time surprise for Nicole! Burbs were on fire last night. Didn't take long before she started to put the 40 inch Eyce Custom Rods to work.
Now back into the night shift for burbs. Boys are doing well tonight!
