work purposes. You may wonder what is the unique characteristic of this house? In brief, this house was built in 1930s, a typical house for workers. Therefore, when entering the place you still can recognize the characteristic and 'spirit' of this period. Your two bed rooms locate in the first floor through a small stair which is in original style (this stair was inspected by the competent safety inspector and got the 'green light' in terms of firmness and safety). Especially, it locates in a street named: 'Spellewerkstraat' and the surrowding streets remind you of the Textile Industry in Ghent in the past. If you are the person who is interested a bit in the history of this period and who love living in a calm environment, then this is the right place for you. You also can spend days watching wild birds, especially waterbirds and sunrise/sunset in the natural reservation park Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen (0.5km from the house)

Within a distance of 300-500m there are different types of supermarkets; banks; shops; café, Snackbars and public transport (buses) which leads you easily to the Gent SP station or to the historical center of Ghent (3 km).
