Fast Al's Race Team is 5 "middle" aged guys whose love of cars propelled them to turn an old Volvo station wagon into a 24 Hours of Lemons Race Car and they couldn't be having more fun!!!!

We are working hard to get 2 cars together for Lemons at NJMP. Last work weekend before we load up. Lots to do!

Just read our last status and realized we are WAY out of date! To catch up, we didn't race in 2015. After losing Albert in New Hampshire in 2014, we had good intentions to get a new car up and running for the 2015 season. A lot of things got in the way of that, unfortunately, and we had to come to the realization that racing this year wasn't in the cards.

That said, work has begun on "Son of Albert"! We hope to be racing by spring 2016 and will keep everyone posted on our progress! Might have a surprise or two as well!!

As always, we very much appreciate the support of friends and family and all who follow us on FB!!

Been woefully lax in updating our page - so sorry!! Let's start with CMP in September. When last we updated, we were starting Day 2 in a 3-way tie for first. It was a good morning, but the afternoon brought us a couple of black flags which were hard to recover from. We finished 7th overall - not too shabby for our first Class A race.

For our last race of the 2014 season, we headed north to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the Halloween Hooptiefest. We had a great time in NHMS last year - despite changing out the transmission 4 times - and had great hopes. Unfortunately, our Albert (the car) had an oil leak in the first two hours of the race, caused the car to fill with smoke, the tires to get slick, and went into the wall. Thankfully, our driver was okay, and in the end, that is definitely the most important thing!

Albert, on the other hand, did not fair as well and has been retired. During this off season, we will concentrate on building a new car and will be ready to race in New Jersey in May!

Thanks to all that like our page and offer us encouragement - we very much appreciate it! Happy New Year to you and yours!!

Lined up for the start is day 2. We are in a 3 way tie for first!! Wish us luck!!!

We haven't posted in a while - been that kind of summer. We also never reported on our race at Carolina Motorsports Park in May. Unfortunately, we had some fuel issues which kept us out of contention. We finished the race, but were 42nd out of 86 cars. The Farts then took the next couple of months to work through some of Albert's issues, including doing a track event at the North Carolina Center for Automotive Research in Roanoke Rapids, NC. With his kinks worked out, Albert was raring to go, and go he did!

This past weekend we competed in "There Goes The Neighborhood" at New Jersey Motorsports Park - our 14th LeMons Race! The car and its awesome drivers had a fantastic weekend and we ended up as the Class B winner and 5th overall!! Truly a great weekend!

We will be back at CMP next month and will finish out our season at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in October. Can't wait!!!

At the second annual There Goes the Neighborhood 24 Hours of LeMons (and our sixth visit to New Jersey Motorsports Park since our first race there in 2011), we saw numerous movie-themed teams and our first four-billion-lap penalty on Friday, German cars pushed entirely out of the upper reaches of th…
