Agree with all of these

10 OF FULL-TIME TRAVELLING NOBODY TELLS YOU ABOUT.....

1. The first few weeks of your travels 'the period' are tough... There's so much build up and stress in the lead up and it really hits you in those first few weeks. to each other each night before bed and know that it will get better.

2. Prepare for everywhere... I'm talking not being near a for a week and still having the dust it out of your bed each night before going to sleep.

3. You'll leave your family and friends behind but you will also make some of the best new along the way.

4. You'll search for ' ' more times than you'd like to admit.

5. Free showers are different to a normal showers- saving as much water as possible means turning the tap off multiple times during your shower.

6. Your clothes will often smell like smoke.

7. Put the legs down on the caravan when setting up.. regardless of how level and soild it feels - It's all a bit late in the middle of the night when you're having 'Adult Time' and your van is squeaking and bouncing 🤦.

8. You'll get so much on places to go and places to skip past.. but you'll need to decide yourself. Every family is so very different in what they enjoy/expect so just like raising kids- listen to the advice and make your own decision.

9. You'll have so many blow outs. Carry spares.

10. You'll have the time of your life no matter how big/small your is! If you see us on the road feel free to come say G'day, we love meeting you all and sharing stories!!!

This shot captures part of what made the Dampier Peninsula so special and amazingly beautiful. Shame they are sealing the road up there which will change the whole atmosphere there.

Traveling days were a nightmare for me when traveling, my 2 and 4 year old boys got so bored in the car.
Would have been more enjoyable if they were older enough to play some of these games.
What to you do to pass the time

Keep highway madness to a minimum with these classic Aussie road games.

This school holidays we will be having a quick getaway in luxury at Royal on the Park Hotel thanks to winning a competition.... We will also be going on a cruise Mirimar Cruises and experiencing the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary - by the looks of things it will be something to add to your list of things to do whilst in Brisbane.
Will be very strange holidaying in something other than a camper trailer or tent

Whilst we were traveling, we all constantly had dirty feet. Who else can relate?

Idea for those in wa

Have you seen any colourful, painted rocks lying around lately?

You might have stumbled on the latest craze sweeping through Western Australia.

It's pretty simple - you paint a rock, hide it somewhere in a park and then post clues online so other people can find your creation.

You can get involved on the WA Rocks page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/294469264300479/

Do you take part in this rock painting and hiding craze? Post pictures of your finds and creations below!

Great way to look at things if you are thinking (and uncertain) about doing the big trip with kids. You have to look after them anyway so why not see some of our beautiful country while you do.

We agree.

Such a beautiful spot and worth stopping at

We are selling our trusty Trak Shak and going back to a tent (so we can tow the boat) and I can't decide between the coleman instant up 10 person or the kodiak bow tents.

So any advice and experiences with either would be greatly appreciated

After a massive 2 weeks of highs, lows, challenges of the outback technology (well lack of), 45mm of rain, 75km winds, a tent that ended up like this, road closures and a massive detour, I have to say that I have never been more glad to be going home tomorrow. In saying that we still had a fantastic time with great company.
Plenty more photo's of our Birdsville trip to come
