Take advantage of this opportunity to support an organization that is so beneficial to the Appalachian Ohio region and beautify your garden at the same time!

In 1968, Richard and Janice “Jan” Norris arrived in Southeast Ohio, where they would spend the next 30-plus years nurturing the young minds of Southern Perry County – she as a sixth-grade teacher, he as a Spanish teacher. The couple co-founded Ashwood Garden Daylilies, and Richard became world-renowned for creating new varieties of the flower guided by Jan’s eye for color and design.

On Sunday, Richard is bringing the passions of his life together – all to support the Janice E. Norris Memorial Scholarship he established to honor his wife’s legacy and to open the doors to postsecondary education for the students in the district they dedicated their careers to.
