Being raised with animals my whole life I always knew I was going to be involved in some way with pets. I worked for many years at dog daycare facilities where I observed and learned the nature of dog behavior. While attending University of Illinois getting a degree in Animal Science-Pre Veterinarian Studies I realized that training is where my real passion lied. After graduating I immersed myself

into an intense dog training school in St. Louis, Missouri earning a certificate as a Professional Dog Trainer. There I learned many different training techniques and types of training including: narcotic detection, personal protection, competition obedience and much more! I currently have 4 dogs that I train for various competitions so my life is anything but boring! As owner and operator of Premiere K9 I believe that every dog has its own personality and learning curve not unlike their human companions. My goal is to preserve their uniqueness and build upon their character while positively teaching skills needed for them to be a source of joy and companionship for you and your family. My training is not approached with a 'one size fits all' mentality. Dogs learn in many different ways, therefore I utilize different techniques and skills. Finding the best way your dog learns not only produces results, but makes it an enjoyable and fun experience for both you and your pup.

Some of my clients I have already spoken to, but I wanted to make it official. I recently accepted a position as Director of Training at Bark Avenue Daycamp in Bartlett!! This facility is the one I tell everyone about as my first dog job working as a pet care technician while I was in college and I am very excited to be back with them as a trainer :) :) while this means I am no longer working out of my home it has many benefits such as: year round classes, full daycare/boarding/training/grooming facility, free puppy playtime on Sundays for puppies under 6 months, a wonderful and knowledgeable staff.....and of course me!!!!

I offer all the same services plus classes! I hope to see some familiar faces :)

I will be offering a beginner/basic training class through Glendale Heights park district. The price is $170 for non residents and $150 for residents.

6 week class, Saturday mornings 9:30-10:30(breaking for Memorial day)

Rue has been working very hard at not reacting to other dogs!

Buster and Chloe have issues on walks and can be very reactive and even redirect toward eachother in the process. This is a short video of them sitting while a brand new dog walks by. Always room for improvement (Buster is always wanting to do something else :) ), but they have come such a long way!

Logan has some anxiety issues and one of them is when he hears a dog bark or a dog barks at him on a walk. He would loose focus and become anxious so this is one thing we have been working on this during his stay. This video is 2 clips, one with my dog Ammo off camera/out of site barking and one with her insight barking right next to him. As you can see his focus on me is fantastic and he is very confident :) :) go Logan!!

I know it's a short video, but jake was going one way all the time and Gyzmo wanted to go the other :) Gyzmo is working on getting along with dogs and today I actually caught his first playbow!!!

It's a few videos combined in one, but here is Future(up for adoption) hanging out with Laila(also up for adoption) and Jake hanging out in the yard :)
