Day 1: The adventure begins...
Started our journey at 12:30am from Paharganj (New Delhi) with all new faces. The beginning of our trip was very memorable. At first, had a fight at restaurant because they were trying to overcharge us for no reason and secondly, the clutch plate of our vehicle was broken. The new vehicle came around at 4:30am. Still nobody looses the excitement of snow adventures and the team was ready to travel again with all the excitement and energy. We were in Rishikesh around 10:30am (which was scheduled to be at 6:00am) for breakfast. And the journey in mountains begins. All were boosted up after enjoying the aesthetic view of Himalayas. We traveled continuously for around 10 hours in mountains with small breaks too. Some card games were very helpful in creating a bond with new mates. Everyone was pretty exhausted because of the continuous travelling. The destination was still around 70kms away and we find this wonderful location on the roadside. A land full of white sand, along a river and an amazing view of mountains. We stopped our vehicle at this location and everyone went to the beach for getting refreshed. The fresh air and cold water refueled every traveler and all of us captured some great lifetime memories here. After spending around 1 hour there, we started our journey to our first destination - Peepalkothi. It was planned to stay at Chamoli but we decided to go for Peepalkothi as the views are amazing from the hotel there. We checked-in in our hotel around 8:00pm. Then after the dance party, team had their first dinner together and took rest in their rooms. Then we had a session of ghost stories and watched "Zindagi na Milegi Dobara". The temperature was decreasing and it started to rain which means it was snowing up in the mountains. Very excited for tomorrow.
Well this was all about our first day of journey, and we are very excited to travel with these amazing people. Will share the rest of our story too.
