Goa – India

** huummm! **

Mrs. M – Amazing cultural environment! Portuguese influence everywhere. It was not very crowded so I definitely recommend going in November/december. We renew our marriage vows according to Indu tradition and it was unforgettable.

Mr. D – Goa it´s quite perfect for short vacations with amazing beaches and friendly people. And the food…. See below!

** here we go! **

Mr. D – Dubai and London are the main hub for connection flights to India. We were in the middle east so for us the best option was a direct flight from Sharjah (with Airarabia) and return back in a flight of Air India. Both are perfect for a flight that takes 3,5 hours. Mr. Baby as normal was pretty much excited…..

Mr. Baby – I am not used to spicy food, so in Air India I struggled a little bit. Mom and Dad should book a non-spicy food in advance. I believe they learned the lesson….

** zzzzzz... **

Mrs. M – We stayed in Park Hyatt in Arossim beach in the south of Goa. If you want a hotel with amazing beaches, the south of Goa is the place. Everything was perfect in this Hotel. They took us from the airport which was quite comfortable, with a very good driver, which is not easy to find in Goa.

Mr. D – The rooms were very clean and large, with a very nice view. We had a problem with the sewage in one day and they immediately solve it.

Mr. Baby – One night in the balcony we saw some monkeys climbing the trees in front. Soooo nice!

** whaaaat? **

Mr. Baby – Amazing pool with some slides. Daddy rented a jet ski and we had the time of our lives. It was my first time but….not the last!

Mr. D – In the cities surrounding the hotel we found amazing church’s from the Portuguese time. We hired a Taxi in the hotel that took us during one day to all the areas around. Spice farms, church´s, market´s.

**careful! **
Mr. Baby – We went in the beginning of Goa summer nevertheless the sun was too much for my skin. Sun protector and UV t-shirt are a must.

Mrs. M – Driving in Goa is a challenge. Everybody seems to be used to the anarchy that is the traffic. In the beginning we were a little bit afraid, to be honest.

** taste it.... or not! **

Mrs. M – Seafoooooood! It's so amazing and cheaper than in the western countries. Zeebop by the sea was our favorite restaurant. Also the restaurant of the hotel was quite good.

Mr D – There is a lot of Portuguese influence in the Goa cuisine, so we felt like at home. Soaps, Chicken, seafood, everything was tasty.

***the flow took us to....***

Czech Republic – Prague

**huummm!**

Mr. Baby – It´s cold and Christmas is coming to Prague. All the town is decorated and customized for….kids!

Mrs. M – The Astronomical clock in the old town square is amazing. It was installed in the year of 1410.

Mr. D – All the streets are perfectly maintained and it´s a very safe city. Quite perfect for a break just before Christmas.

**here we go!**

Mr. D – There are a lot of low cost companies that connect Prague to Europe and to the Middle East. We used Czech Airlines flying from Dubai. It´s a 5 hours flight that arrives at 11.30 pm so Mr. Baby was already dreaming.

Mr. Baby – I love planes but I always prefer the ones that have TV. I didn’t like too much the service of Czech airlines, so I decided to …………sleep. I just realized when I was in the taxi. Very nice and safe by the way.

**zzzzzz...**

Mrs. M – We stayed in Eurostars David in the center of Prague. It´s a 15 minutes walking to the old town square. Quite comfortable and very adapted for kids.

Mr. D – Prague have a lot of tourism right now, so there are plenty of options. Bus, Tram, taxi there are many options to move in Prague. We prefer always walking but in raining days you have all the options.

**whaaaat?**

Mr. Baby – Huuuuge Christmas tree in old town square. There is a small trolley train where they give you a blanket and you make a city tour. It´s amazing! It was cold outside (3ºc) and the blanket, Daddy´s arms and the hot chocolate made it memorable.

Mr. D – Charles Bridge and the surroundings are quite special. The bridge it´s full of artists and in this days it´s a big playground for Mr. Baby.

**careful!**

Mr. baby – In every place there are heaters. They are in the terrace of the restaurants, in the shops, allover. I needed to be careful to not burn my hands.

Mrs. M – It´s freezing in Prague, so you need to have proper cloth and be careful in the streets to not slip.

**taste it.... or not!**

Mrs. M – The amount of amazing street food that you find in the time of the year make it really special. I am a cheese lover, so I was in heaven.

Mr Baby – In Prague they have a traditionally Christmas fish soup (Rybí polévka), made out of Carp, that I really appreciated. Look out because normally the food and mainly the soaps are served too hot.

Italy – Milano - Lake Maggiore

*** huummm!***

Mr. Baby – My first time in the Lake Maggiore near Milano! I never saw a “pool” sooooo big. Cristal clear water but …… cold! A lot of watersports in the lake but....still too young!

Mrs. M – Lake Maggiore is surrounded by mountains and the small islands in the lake are full of history. It´s an amazing place to have peaceful holidays.

Mr. D – Italy maintain all their historical buildings and places quite well, so it´s quite nice to start to introduce the history of civilizations to Mr. Baby.

*** here we go!***

Mr. D – The best way to reach the lakes on the north of Milano it´s to land in Milano-Malpensa Airport. There are many low cost airlines in Europe to connect you to Milano. Mr. Baby and Mrs. M took TAP from Portugal. From the Middle East there are also many airlines to connect direct to Milano. I was in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and I took Saudi Airlines.

Mr. Baby – Dad rent a car with a baby chair so I was quite comfortable. Book the chair in advance as the Rent companies normally don´t have too many in stock.

*** zzzzzz...***

Mrs. M – We stayed in Splendid Hotel in Baveno and it´s a charming Hotel with very comfortable rooms and a good breakfastand an amazing view to Lake Maggiore.

Mr. Baby – I tried the pool. I tried the bubbles of the pool with the Ladies……

*** whaaaat?***

Mr. Baby – There are several islands in the Lake and there are Bus –Boats that connect every islands. The streets in those islands were my best playground. Narrow streets but I like it very much.

Mr. D – Piazza de la Chiesa and Santuario della Pietta are very nice places to visit. I recommend going in the end of the day immediately before the sunset. Nice view to the lake from there.

***careful!***

Mr. baby – I run and run and run to catch the last Bus-boat from the Fishermen´s island. Look out to not lose the last one. Or you will need to go by Taxi (boat).

Mrs. M – We found Montmartre area a little bit unsafe in the night.

*** taste it.... or not!***

Mrs. M – I just love Italian food. The best restaurant in town was the one in our Hotel. Amazing fish and the view…..Uau!

Mr Baby – I preferred the Restaurant Casabella in the Fishermen´s Island. They know how to treat a baby. Seafood soap nº1 in the ranking.

28/09/2015

** TIP of the Week ***

Mr. Baby - Mom and Dad use the App iTriage for any kind of support in first help everytime that i get sick.

Mrs. M - There are many other apps that you can find. But have one in your phone is really a help!

**huummm!**

Mr. Baby – I am almost like Michael Phelps! Ok, not that much…. but I loved to be in the water of the Dead Sea floating without any effort. Oh yeah!

Mrs. M – In the Baptism Site in the Jordan River you can feel that you are in a special place. Very close to the Dead Sea.

Mr. D – The Dead Sea is not navigable so the water is very calm. In Amman we didn´t felt the “glamour” that we were expecting.

20/09/2015

**here we go!**

Mrs. M – Flydubai took me and the baby from Dubai. Mr. D came with Gulfair frm Riyadh. Amman is very well connected, so you easily find flights.

Mr. Baby – The airport in Amman it´s a little bit slow…… I wait for my stroller almost one hour.

Mr. D – We arrived very late so our option was to book the transfer with the Hotel and it works quite well. The taxis in the region are normally quite old and cheap. And everyone were kind.

**zzzzzz......**

Mrs. M – We picked the Kempinski Dead Sea. The best choice in the region. Amazing rooms, view, pool and the direct access to the sea. Highly recommended.

Mr. D – For the night spent in Amman we booked in Rotana in the boulevard Arjan. Is a new neighborhood in Amman. Good food.

**whaaaat?**

Mr. Baby – Toooooo many people having the baptism in the Jordan River. Dad also did it to me. Uau!

Mr. D – Baptism site from the Jordan side is quite well preserved. Full of history. In the night you can see the lights of the city of Jerusalem.

Mrs. M – The mud of the Dead Sea is awesome! It´s all that we can find in La Mer products but in huge quantities :-)

20/09/2015

**careful!**

Mr. baby – the water of the Dead Sea it´s amazing but also not so tasty….. don´t let the water reach your eyes and mouth. Not so pleasant….

Mrs. M – You should not cross the Jordan River in the baptism site. It´s the actual boundary of Jordan and you can get into problems.

Mr. D – On the weekends the Dead is very crowded. Try to avoid arriving there on a Thursday night as we did. Traffic jams.

20/09/2015

**taste it.... or not!**

Mrs. M – We just loved Arab countries food. Humus, Fattoush, falafel, labneh, are all amazing. The restaurant in the Kempinski hotel is quite good. Specially, the buffet in the balcony has the perfect view.

Mr Baby – In Amman in the area of the Boulevard Arjan you can find very nice Jordan and Italian restaurants.

Mr. baby – Lots of fish and very tasty meat. It´s very easy to be a kid in this country.

**huummm!**

Mr. Baby – My first time in Paris! Walk, walk, run and walk and run again. Mom, I am tired. Mom and Dad in the second day took a good decision – Bus tour sightseeing.
Pont des Arts – we putted also our padlock.

Mrs. M – The inevitable Eiffel Tour, Sacre-Couer, Versailles, etc, etc, but above everything the bohemian life in the Quartier Latin and in Montmatre. We just love to walk, stop in restaurant, drink a glass of wine and walk again.

Mr. D – Parisbiketour.net it´s an amazing way to know Paris. We loved Paris by night, and the best way to know it is by bike. They have baby-seats and your kid will love it.

19/09/2015

**here we go!**

Mr. D – There are many low cost airlines to connect you to Paris. We were in Portugal, so we used Ryanair. Charles the Gaulle airport or Paris-Orly are very well connected to the center of the city. We recommend the train.

Mr. Baby – My first time in a train. I really love it. Confortable, safe and I can see the surroundings of Paris.

19/09/2015

**zzzzzz.....**

Mrs. M – We picked the Hotel Cluny Square in the Saint Michel. There are plenty of options but this one was quite nice for a bed and breakfast.

Mr. D – It´s very near to a Metro station so in the last day they kept our luggage in the Hotel until the moment that our journey in Paris ended.

**whaaaat?**

Mr. Baby – I really loved the day in Montmartre. I am an artist :-) ….. In the Sacre-Couer I enjoy the view mainly because I was kicked out from the Basilica. I was too excited…

Mr. D – the Palace of Versailles and the surroundings are incredible. If you catch good weather is perfect for the kid.
The number of locks in the Pont the arts was unbelievable. They are not allowing anymore to put new locks.

Mrs. M – Paris is the city of Fashion. You can find all the best designers. Lafayette Galleries is a must.

19/09/2015

**careful!**

Mr. baby – The streets get very crowded in the end of the day so better not live Mom and Dad´s hand.

Mrs. M – We found Montmartre area a little bit unsafe in the night.

**taste it.... or not!**

Mrs. M – Raclette, Cheese Fondue and all the plates related with cheese. I just love it. Can´t resist. French wine mainly from Bordeaux and Champagne are always a part of our visits to Paris.

Mr Baby – Many varieties of soups that I really enjoy. Most of the kids Menus have fried food. I didn´t appreciated too much. Better to eat adults food.

**huummm!**

Mr. Baby - Mom and Dad keep saying that sometimes I seem like a monkey. Natural park of Kaudulla. Some family members there!
Awsome elephants, birds and monkeys.

Mrs. M – It´s better to buy the tickets for the Natural Park through the Hotel. There are several nice spice market to visit.

Mr. D – The civil war ended in Sri Lanka a couple of years ago. The country is safe and the tourism is starting to move forward. In the area of Sigiriya is now starting so you need to be careful mainly with the transport that you choose. I recommend to ask for a taxi always in the hotel. It may cost a little bit more but is safer.

**here we go!**

Mr. D - Mihin Lanka airlines took us to Colombo from Dubai.
Short transfer to a private terminal in the Airport and Cinnamon Air, in a small plane, took us to a old military Airport near Sigiriya. Best way to reach there if your visit is short. Bus and Car can take too much hours....

Mr. Baby – Awesome plane! Almost the size of the ones I play. Only 4 people on the plane and the pilot makes us a small plane tour for free! I want to be a pilot…

Mrs. M - Colombo airport and the small Terminal of Cinnamon air have all the services you might need.

Mr. Baby - Sigiriya ruins – Lion rock. Nice playground the king Kashyapa made.

Mr. D – Golden Temple near Dambulla. The peaceful of the place makes you don´t even feel the hundreds of steps to reach the temple on top of the hill. Just 35 min distance by taxi from the Hotel.

**careful!**

Mr. baby – I couldn´t made by usual noise. Mom was saying that the hornets near Sigiriya –Lion rock don´t like noise and can attack me. Even if i believe that it was a Mom excuse.... Better to be a little bit quieted.
Mom put me some Care Plus for not having the mosquitos as friends.
To go up in Sigiriya you must take water with you and …. a superman. Too much stairs! The view from the lap of my dad going up, was amazing.

Mrs. M – In the spice markets they will try to sell you beauty products. Not only they are too expensive but also not so good. Don´t make the same mistake!

19/09/2015

**taste it.... or not!**

Mrs. M -Vegetarian dishes. Variety of fruits.

Mr Baby - Too much spicy for my little stomach. Sometimes i became a dragoon....
