My 3 year old is oiling up my 3 month old with On Guard. We use On Guard every morning to help fend off germs and support our immune system. Why is she putting it on the baby's feet?! I am ONE week into a 12 week challenge called TERRAfit! I have a team of 7 total members and we help hold each other accountable and encourage each other on. It has been a fun first week with the team! (with some giggles and sorrows shared). With some fun but challenging workouts, and exchanging of healthy recipes focusing on whole foods and "clean" eating. I am so excited for the next 11 weeks. I made homemade shampoo! And it works GREAT! It actually added volume to my hair. I didn't need conditioner, it is moisturizing enough. I wash my hair every other day, so even today, my day off from washing my hair, my hair feels wonderful and full of body, not greasy and weighed down.

I used peppermint and Wild Orange essential oils. I know rosemary is really good for hair, so I will be ordering some rosemary to try in my next batch. And I used fractioned coconut oil from doTERRA instead of olive oil.

doTERRA essential oils are so versatile. I made a hand sanitizer using melaleuca, lemon, and witch hazel. I was at the play ground and Belle skinned her knee. I didn't have anything to clean it with or a bandaid, but it did occur to me that I had this mixture with. I could spray it right on her skinned knee! I went somewhere else where the tick level was high, I didn't have any insect repellent, but I did remember that melaleuca repels ticks. So I sprayed our "hand sanitizer" all over our exposed skin. Ohh the many uses of essential oils!

A story of how doTERRA essential oils amazed me yet again….Saturday night I woke up with bright red eyes, gooped shut. I kept waking up and wiping them clean with a warm paper towel. I was thinking to myself that I was going to have to spend Mother's Day in urgent care trying to get eye drops. By the 3rd time of waking up I finally thought "I bet there's an oil for that!". Sure enough there is! At 4am, I applied Melaleuca and Lavender around my eye sockets, again at 7am. By 7:30 am my eyes were no longer goopy or red. I kept applying it throughout the day Sunday, and when I woke up this morning; my eyes are completely healthy, no goop, no pinkness! I will continue for another day or two just to make sure it’s gone. But no urgent care waiting, no bills, no money spent on Rx, and no trying to get those dang drops in my eyes!
