Join us on a beautiful walking tour in the green and natural area along the Ancient Appian Way. Via Appia is the only one street taking its name by its creator, Appio Claudio, the one who built also the Roman aqueduct. Via Appia built in 312 b.C., to represent the greatness of Rome, at the beginning, the street arrived to Capua only, and it was prolonged until Taranto and Brindisi just later. When we say
“All Roads Lead to Rome,” the Via Appia is one of the roads we were talking about and it was here that Spartacus and 6000 of his slave rebels were crucified in 71 BC, and it was here that the early Christians buried their dead in 300km of underground catacombs.
You can visit three major catacombs – San Callisto, San Sebastiano and Santa Domitilla – are open for guided exploration with us.

Castel dell 'Ovo (Castel of the Egg) is the oldest of the city.
The name derives from a legend tied to the poet Virgil, to whom the medieval Neapolitans attributed magical powers. One of the wizard's talismans was said to be hidden in the castle: an egg preserved in a jug and locked in an iron cage. The Castel would never crumble as long as the egg remained intact.

Today the site of Mausoleum of Augustus reopens to the public. This site will be free to all visitors from today until April 21st in celebration of Rome’s grand birthday !
We organize walking tours around the surrounding areas and inside the Mausoleum, the largest circular tomb of the ancient world, built starting from 28 BC. It stood in the northern part of the Campo Marzio and was one of the wonders of Imperial Rome. An hour or so by train from Rome,“The Via Francigena”, an ancient road and pilgrim route running from France to Rome, awaits a beautiful walk in the nature of Monte Fogliano.
The destination of this excursion lies a rupestrian hermit’s house and church, with shelters, seats, platforms and passages which was dug out from a huge rock made of “Peperine, (A volcanic rock, formed by the cementing together of sand, scoria, cinders, etc.)
Legend has it that it was built around 1500 and took two years of hard work to build. The hermit named Girolamo only managed to live there for a few years before being attacked and sent back to his home in Siena. During our walk we will retrace all this as if in a journey through time.
