Shawshank Fans! Thankyou showing up for a great 30th Anniversary event.
We know how much everyone loved the Shawshank directional signs—so much so that a few went on a little adventure of their own during the Shawshank 30th event! But don’t worry, we managed to round up the ones that didn’t make a break for it. Plus, we’ve got some of the large photograph repeaters and even one of the anniversary banners —perfect for recreating your Shawshank moments at home!
Stop by our Destination Mansfield office at 124 N Main St, Mansfield, OH 44902 between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM to pick up these exclusive items. We’re asking for a minimum donation of $1 for smaller items and $20 for larger items. We also have a few T-shirts still available for $25, with sizes 2XL and up priced at $27.
Please note: Pick-up only, no shipping available, and cash donations only.
Remember, all donations go directly toward supporting the Shawshank Trail. Pictures of all these items are posted to help you choose your piece of Shawshank history. Visit us soon—before these signs decide to “escape” again!

Did you know we have the Scofield Cafe available on site? The Scofield Cafe is open during our standard business hours and offers hot paninis, grab and go sandwiches, side dishes, house-made baked goods, and a full service coffee shop.
We released some special beverages during the Shawshank Redemption 30th Anniversary Celebration and the Brooksie was so popular it became part of our daily menu.

Last weekend of the season!
It’s our last open weekend for the season! We are open this Saturday, August 24th and Sunday, August 25th between 1pm-3pm. We are located in South Park, 100 Brinkerhoff Ave, Mansfield, Ohio.

Beyond the Scare Tours return for 2024!
We are pleased to be bringing back the Beyond the Scare tour for its 2nd season!
Half behind-the-scenes, lights-on tour of the Blood Prison Haunted House and half Beyond the Bars Tour, this option is great for those who are interested in haunted house production, have sensitivities to lights/sound and cannot attend our actual haunt, or those who just want to be a little bit creeped out while also learning about Reformatory history!
Leave the little ones at home for this one, ages 8+ only due to mature content within Blood Prison.
Limited availability and small tour groups mean you should get your tickets before we sell out! Available only Sept. 27th-Nov. 2nd. Get your tickets at ohiostatereformatory.org.

has come to an end! Today was the final bus tour of the event. We said farewell to the last of The Shawshank Redemption cast and crew, who so graciously agreed to return to Shawshank and let us witness their reunion.
All 2900 Shawshank Hustle participants have packed up their running shoes and gone home.
The Shawshank Trail feels a little empty now BUT we know you’ll all return again to Shawshank because no one can stay away too long from the #1 Movie of all time!
We also want to recognize ALL of the organizations that were part of the making of The Shawshank Redemption and to all of the people and businesses that are now caretakers of its preservation and memories.

Tonight’s Intimate Evening with the Stars at The Ohio State Reformatory welcomed Frank Darabont, Bob Gunton, William Sadler, Clancy Brown, Gil Bellows, and Mark Rolston BACK to Shawshank Prison! This panel discussion moderated by TCM Host, Ben Mankiewicz, had the movies’ villains and the good guys all on the same stage, but as in the movie, we realized it was our common humanity that attracted us to the movie and to our eagerness to listen to this family of actors recount their interactions at the prison, with their roles and each other!

In the photo is our family and they never hesitate to show up and do whatever is needed, but most importantly they are supportive to their dad and mom, make sure we have what we need, and they are some of the first faces you see in the finish line chute on race day. They are the BEST!
