Gurudongmar Lake in North Sikkim India is one of the highest lakes in the world and highest lakes in India. This lake is situated at 17800 ft or 5430m. Gurudongmar lake is at 190 kms North of Sikkim and 67 kms from Lachen. The lake remains frozn during winter. There is no vegitation and there is less oxygen in the air. So you may experience headache and nausea. Drinking warm water may help you feel better. This video os Gurudongmar lake was captured during last week of November 2017. To reach Gurudongmar Lake you have to reach Lachen first. Stay overnight at Lachen. Start very early in the morning from Lachen to Gurudongmar Lake. The temperature is very low at Gurudongmar Lake and you must take enough protection for cold.
