Today we are enjoying a glorious day sailing north through the Mediterranean Sea, with calm seas, sunshine and glorious salty humid air. We have been so pleased with our onboard experience thus far, from a seamless and stress-free boarding process in Athens, to the condition of the ship, the service from housekeeping and dining staff, spa and more. Menus have improved to include more variety and the food quality is likewise improved. Ample staff everywhere on the ship, and plenty of smiles all around.

Our special es**rt has been enjoying many of the onboard amenities and features. This morning he spent time in the Fitness Center and the spa where he declared his favorite feature was the heated tile lounger.

Boston South Station is undergoing sweeping renovations to modernize access between the terminals and from the street. While modernizing, they’ve kept those features which make this historic building so beautiful. The Metropolitan Lounge is a loft with views out to the bustling central area, and it features this stunning ceiling which is meticulously maintained and preserved. Access is reserved for guests traveling in sleeper accommodations or in First Class on Acela. Red Caps handle your luggage and es**rt you onboard before general boarding begins, and Amtrak attendant services in the Lounge offer beverages and light snacks at this station.

Thinking of all those in and the who are or will soon be profoundly affected by . These hardworking people just cannot seem to fully recover before another storm comes in and wreaks havoc. There was so much visible when I visited just last month in . I pray the current forecasted and rainfall totals don’t come to fruition. .

Travel can be challenging! After disembarking Edge this morning, my Uber arrived at FLL literally as the Terminal Road was being closed. After sitting in the car for three hours we were finally able to proceed. My morning-turned-afternoon-turned-canceled flight has been rebooked for a mid-evening flight, which was promptly adjusted and is now a very late-night flight. Things happen that are out of our control, and it’s important to be flexible, calm and maintain a sense of humor when traveling! I’m glad this is after my cruise, and thankful that I always travel at least a day before embarkation day. I hope everyone boarding Edge today is able to arrive in time. Listen to your Travel Advisor when they urge you to arrive a day early!
