It's Pheno-Hunt time! That means our garden team is bringing new strains in, and they need to select the best representation of each cultivar. A "phenotype" or "pheno" is the way all the different factors of a strain's breeding come together to be expressed in a single specific plant. Different phenotypes can have very different expressions, as you can see in these three different plants from the same seeds, starting with their leaf color. Picking the right pheno has many components, smell and taste of course, but also structure of the buds, the amount of product the plant yields, and of course the resulting cannabinoids and terpenes which determine the unique high of that individual pheno.

The Solstice Artist Series is back for 2022! We’re excited to be launching this year’s series with a collaboration with , who created the piece ‘Free The Homies’ to draw attention to the injustice of continued cannabis incarceration.
Limited Edition pre-roll packs highlighting this message are available at Solstice retailers this month, and posters featuring the art are available online.
To support this cause, Solstice, along with Have a Heart and The Reef, will be making donations to , a non-profit organization fighting for those still

Teddy "Stat" Phillips is a Seattle-based artist whose powerfully colorful portraiture and illustrations have caught eyes across the city in galleries, on posters, and in murals. His work highlights everyday peoples and struggles, captured in vibrant digital illustrations.

Spring into the Season of Change with our Solstice Artist Series. This season, we’ve collaborated with Teddy “Stat” Phillips () to design the art for our first limited edition pre-roll pack of the year. To support the message of the pack, Solstice will be donating to Stat’s cause of choice: the Last Prisoner Project ()
Though the sale of cannabis has been legal for over a decade, there still remains tens of thousands of prisoners with cannabis-related charges. The LPP seeks to bring freedom and justice to those incarcerated people through advocacy and awareness campaigns.
