The skilled artisan, Massimo Manca, crafts knives in his laboratory in the mountain village of Pattada, central north Sardinia. Pattada has a long tradition of knife-making, and the Pattadese is the most famous of the Sardinian knives, with its characteristic blade in the shape of a myrtle leaf.

Each knife is entirely handmade using traditional materials such as ram or mouflon horn, juniper and olive.
