Mondays, a good day to chase blues. Late summers mean plenty of berries and peches for the picking, well, in the markets. Last week saw a nice selection of Japanese momo, this week it's donut delicioso peaches from Spain! We've been very peckish lately because the job dictates so and the job dictates so because we're onto something new and yummy and finally we can . We're almost ready to share!

I'm almost too green-eyed to admit that anything that enters this wabi-sabi zenzen country becomes infinitely better a socio-cultural commodity that generates quite the desire and aspiration amongst the hopeful. And all that picture-perfect/dreamscape of a revelation came just seconds before a mini fount of burger juices floweth over and onto my lap. This coming Satuday is a big BIG day!! Our MATCHA MADNESS Fair is not only starting but we're also going to start serving PLATED DESSERTS. We'll be having a few matcha plated desserts for the fair like this mini matcha chiffon served with cream, fruits, red bean and warabi mochi!

This is an occasion very close to our hearts, because one of our biggest inspiration, our dear friend and also our all-time favourite go-to local roaster, Nylon Coffee is having their 4th birthday bash this very weekend and they are giving back to a great cause, Charity Water.

Not sure if it's age or the memories of yesteryears creeping up evoking excessive nostalgia, these days, I find alot of comfort in home remedies that my grandma used to nag us when we were young. I've been looking to the sky and letting the weather determine my dietary choices for the day. Today calls for this simple bowl of treasures. There was a time I had gotten sick of cheng tng from bedok corner when it was a weekly ritual. But with the demise of desserts like this, I keep an eye out and savour a bowl or two wherever I go. As long as there's dried persimmons, white fungus and winter melon.
